"I had the gutters on the back of my row home replaced. With all the other great reviews I have to assume my situation was unique and doesn't happen often but from the first moment I had some troubles. The day I had the estimate done, the gentleman from Merryfield was hours late. Not a huge issue since I was home that day and having other estimates done as well. They did call, but only a couple of hours after they were due to have already been there. I'm not one to hold a grudge so I hired them about one week later and my schedule date and time was just a few weeks away. No surprise, the guys actually installing the gutters were late by a couple of hours and I had to run to another appointment, which meant I could not be there when everything was finished. Unfortunately, I was not too happy with the job (particularly the down spout) when I returned and immediately called Merryfield. Someone did come out to take another look and agreed that the piece connecting my downspout to the exterior of the home should have been changed and the old one should not have remained. I was promised that my issue would be resolved by having the installers come out and replace this piece but nothing came of it. I did call the company a few times and left a few messages but heard nothing. I don't think I will need gutters for awhile but I also want be recommending them to family and friends.

"It went very well. We needed to add safefty bars and a seat for our aging loved one so we decided to do a full bathroom remodel. Niko and his team were great. Price was reasonable and competitive to other quotes we had before starting. The majority of the job was done by Niko and Rick. Anthony assisted on the demo and Tio in the final touches (last day). Rick was there promptly each morning. Niko stayed late each day. They both work very well together. They give explanations and advice in what their doing to educate us while honoring our creative wishes. They value quality work instead of rushing the job. Niko makes sure he is there on site as well is respectful of our home and truly both nice contractors. It ran a little longer than planned; it happens in renovations. However, it was well worth it . Hiring for our next project and most likely all projects."

Overall, Jesse and his team were wonderful to work with.  They were all very respectful and nice.  The team tried to leave as much as the wiring and the floor as possible, as not to demo everything.  In the demolition process, however, some of the screws for the light fixtures went missing (not a terrible thing, but a small hassle).  The whole process took about a week, and the drain and the walls were fixed.  Our house doesn't smell moldy anymore which is a great plus!  Two small things which bothered me slightly after the fact, was that the foreman, Bryan, said he would return a window insert for our basement window, which he hasn't done yet (it keeps air from entering the basement).  Also, instead of unscrewing some piping around the dryer vent, it seems that they have just ripped it out (but that was an easy fix on our end...we just got a new aluminum pipe for the dryer).

The team put plastic sheeting down to protect the furniture on the first floor where they had to come in and out of to get to the basement (we don't have basement access).  They also did a cursory cleaning before they left each day, which I appreciated.  It wasn't a deep clean, but that wasn't expected either. 

Jesse offered, kindly, to help us find some contractors who could help replace the drywall/studs and retile our floor; however, his contacts were all busy and weren't able to help us.  We ended up contacting some contractors through Angie's list to help us return our basement to its finished self. 

It has been about a week and half after the work was completed, and the system seems to be working (and we have had some crazy rain storms).  Although there is a puddle of water that collects around the lid of the sump pump, which worries me slightly.  I have called Jesse to ask him if that's normal, but otherwise the work was well done!
