Eco Green Solutions were great to deal with.  They came to the home for an initial consultation and provided me with great solutions for the heat loss problem I had in the home.  The salesperson provided me a clean understandable proposal with different options I could choose from depending on my budget.

When we agreed upon the scope their office scheduled an appointment with me to schedule the work.  Their crew showed up on time, wore booties on their feet to keep my floors as clean as possible and did a remarkable job patching and priming the walls for painting.  I wasn't home when the work was performed, but the painting contractor I had in the home at the same time commented on how professional they were and how they made his job so much easier.

As a homeowner, heating and cooling cost are real concerns.  I highly recommend anyone considered with those things like I am to have Eco Green Solutions do an energy audit of their home and see where they can save.

"After I called for an estimate, Joey came promptly and assessed our insulation needs. He took his time to explain everything and also gave valuable energy savings tips. We scheduled a date and he and his crew arrived on time and insulated our attic. Within a couple of hours they were done with a thorough clean up."

"Person who visited was very polite and noted that what I purchased was likely not something that would meet my expectations.  I wanted an energy audit, how my systems could be improved in home, lighting, heating, insulation and air conditioners.  What I got was a list of things they could work on and the price to do that work.  The work list in no way was considered an energy audit, rather it was a punch list of things I could do based on their visual inspection.  I did not have a comparison of work and benefit/savings calculation.  There was no checklist of inefficiencies and how that translated into energy losses. For example, multiple hi hat lights in house, they spoke about boxing and insulating a few, less than 10, when I have almost 90 in house.  Overall I was disappointed, the tech who came said the offering needed to be better presented prior to start of work."

We purchased our home in August 2012 and moved in October 2012.  Although we had the A/C tested for functionality a few times, we did not have a through inspection done which as you will see was a mistake.



When Weatherbusters came out to do the pre season maintenance for our contract, they found the air handler to be moldy.  Although the units were functional, they strongly advised not to run it for health reasons.  As the units were from

 1989, we had intended to replace them but were hoping to get another year out of them.



We received a quote from Weatherbusters for the complete replacement of the air handler and compressor.



As the quote was $14K we were very surprised.  In order to get a better understanding of the basis of the quote, we asked for a break down with the hopes of value engineering a solution as my previous review stated, they did a great job on the furnace maintenance.



My girlfriend asked Mike Sadowski if we could receive a breakdown, and he flat out refused.  We found that to be bothersome and my girlfriend was less than pleased (which makes it more difficult to go further...)



I proceeded to get other quotes and was surprised to find that although Weatherbusters was out of line with the others, the cost was still high for my job.



In the process, I became very educated on equipment and A/C needs etc.  In the end I went with another provider (which also receives high ratings from Angie List users)) for about $10K.



The comments I got was that was that I bought a Rheem and they aren't as good as York, Trane or Carrier but the one being replaced was a 25 year old Rheem/Rudd so I was happy with my choice.  Had I needed a Seer of 25, or wanted to go with a variable speed handler there might have been validitiy with their comments.



In the end, I feel that Weather busters was overpriced for me. Since the equipment doesn't vary that much in price, the real difference must be labor.  Hopefully this is a result of the people we have met from Weather busters being very well paid.

"Bob is great! Fixed attic fan which I was told the propensity for a fire due to exposed wires were apparent and I feel lucky & blessed that that was fixed before any danger occurred. Used ARC first, big mistake! Back to Bob, was so knowledgeable with his vast experience I have asked him to send me quotes on other projects. All & all a true gem, so grateful I found him. He is professional, came right on time. Could not be any happier with his expertise. Was so honest about what we needed to do if we were to sell our house in the future. Also, was priced reasonably! "My AC wasn't working on a hot summer day and I had two small children in the house. I gave a call to Brian who came highly recommended to me from a couple people I know. He was able to come out to my house in a couple hours and had my unit up and running shortly after. I've had other HVAC companies come out before but they all just tried to convince me to replace my entire unit (which is only 6 years old). Brian was honest and repaired the one damaged part and I was up and running and it worked perfectly fine the rest of the summer. He is the only HVAC person I will use forever because he is honest, timely, and knows his stuff."
