"Our Roof/Chimney was damaged in severe wind. We had the brick redone and then called Bricks out to assess the liner. I was able to schedule an appointment right away and upon inspection they had noticed our brick work needed to be repaired as the previous work was not correctly done. The liner also was bent and had a small tear. They were very informative, taking the time to show and explain all aspects of what needed to be done. This company was very reliable, friendly, and professional. The Installation of the new work went quick, and they were respectful of property as well. Id highly recommend Bricks Chimney."

"Cowan's south jersey masonry came out and fixed the top of both chimneys, sealed them and placed the caps on the top and he cleaned out the chimney. I was working and my parents were there and couldn't say enough about the two gentlemen who completed the work. My mom asked if they could fix a crack on our cement sidewalk and they did with no charge! Thank you so much for your professionalism and help with this project. Thank you for fixing my sidewalk. I would recommend this company without reservation."

"Had this company clean/inspect our wood burning stove when we bought our house a year ago. After the huge wind storm the cap for the chimney fell off. Called around 11am to get it repairs… Chris had his crew around our area was literally there in less than 20 minutes and everything was fixed! Awesome company. Will be using them for everything."

"Two gentlemen arrived, very courteous and professional.  I escorted one gentleman to the furnace area to investigate what would be cleaned.  I was amazed to see what I saw!  Soot (looking more like crumbled dirt and sand) nearly filled the flue; solid evidence there was a serious and potentially unsafe problem in that side of the chimney.  The other gentleman shared that he'd go to the top of the chimney to advise me of the condition.  He also took pictures on their phones so I could see the condition above.  There was no cap on the furnace chimney (I had one on the fireplace chimney).  He also looked into the fireplace chimney which I greatly appreciated.  One gentleman advised me of the cost of the repairs, I agreed to the cost, and they began working.  These gentlemen were outstanding; demonstrating great concern for the safety of my home.  I would not hesitate to use them again.

"Excellent!! Same day response. Fast and very reasonable but most importantly they repaired my chimney cap and did not try to upsell. Given the technicians level of professionalism I would absolutely recommend this company if any of my neighbors or friends needed their services."

"That was fine. That was a year ago. It was good. I end up spending $500. I wasn't expecting to spend that much, because they did a bunch of other things. I wasn't even there when they came. I was only expecting to get my chimneys cleaned and then they recommended I get the caps and spent more and I guess I needed the chimney caps, as well."

"Shawn was excellent.  He called before he showed up as promised and came at the beginning of the window I was given.  On arrival, he asked about any specific concerns I had, then got to work inspecting the roof.  He took several pictures of problem areas to show me.  During the inspection, he made minor repairs including resinkinf and recaulking nails and sealing small holes/defects.
After the inspection, he went through his findings in detail and explained the importance of different roofing components.  He discussed the aspects that were missing or techniques that have been updated since my roof was built and their value and function.  He suggested replacing the pipe collars that were at the end of their lifespan and prone to leaking.  He also suggested improving how the fascia capping was attached to prevent them from failing and blowing off.
We also discussed a strange gutter situation that was causing water to collect in a corner where two roof sections joined.  He gave some suggestions for repairing this as well.
Shawn was extremely professional and knowledgable.  He explained everything very clearly and made reasonable suggestions for other repairs including non-roof items such as the patio and walk.
When we get our roof replaced, he will be at the top of the list.

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.

Yes, with features like LED lighting and variable speed controls for efficiency.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.

Yes, they can assess the size, kitchen layout, and ventilation requirements to make recommendations.
