"Tim introduced himself to me, and he listened to my problem with my gutters. He offered to clean the main areas that tend to have issues for $80. Although I thought this was a gimmick to bait and switch from a free estimate at first, I was wrong! Tim not only cleaned the gutters in all collection points, but also used silicone to replace a dried-out previous repair. What other contractors told me was that I needed to replace my gutters at the front of my home for $1,000 to $1,600. Tim is an honest contractor that I will keep in my contacts for future projects."

"I had our front stoop and limestone steps replaced and repaired. Geni and his brother, Arjan, are so professional. My husband and I are so pleased with the finished work. Aside from that we also had them repair our front gutter and seal the back to prevent anymore leaks. We definitely recommend them to anyone."

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

Yes, it is okay to knock down icicles yourself. Just make sure to take the proper safety precautions. If you’re not comfortable doing it yourself, contact a roofing professional.

Absolutely—and lots of it. Overflowing water from your gutters can damage your siding and your roof. All of the moisture getting into the cracks and crevices of your home can lead to mold or mildew problems down the line. In addition, when water pools around your home, it needs a place to go—and sometimes it ends up inside the house, creating a very unwanted flood.

Yes, gutter repair is almost always worth the investment. Some homeowners believe that gutter repairs are only to improve the home’s curb appeal, but gutters play a pivotal role in protecting your foundation from damage and structural instability, and they also prevent water damage to your soffits, fascia, roof, and exterior walls. You will pay an average of around $400 to have your gutters professionally repaired, but it’s worth it even for the peace of mind of knowing that one of your largest investments is adequately protected from the elements.

The best way to seal gutters is with a combination of waterproof roofing cement and silicone gutter sealant. This powerful duo works to prevent water from escaping through holes and cracks while allowing for breathability. While you can use polyurethane sealants, silicone sealants tend to be more flexible when it comes to climate. Silicone is UV-resistant and bonds well to many surfaces. However, polyurethane sealant bonds better with wood.

Gutters should not drip at the seams. This problem could indicate that water is collecting in the gutters instead of moving to the downspouts. You could have leaves or other debris blocking the flow of water at the seams. Try cleaning the gutters, adjusting the slope, and sealing any holes or cracks in the material to fix this problem.
