"I gave this man $3000 which was 33% of the job upfront. Was supposed to give him 33% at the halfway part And 34% upon completion. But when I went to my bathroom and realized you left drugs in my bathroom and I have small children. Not like that 3000 black and small cleaners caught easy and heâ s lucky he hasnâ t been charged with nothing. Only reason that happened is because I wouldnâ t pursue charges. He obviously is a drug addict and has a problem so maybe he should get help Possibly isnâ t the option maybe rehab is. If you paid for supplies, you got ripped off wait 10 years and it will all fall apart charges for certain stuff but buys different stuff so he can use the extra money to pick himself up drugs without nobody noticing, I am so terribly in grief over this. $3000 he ran off with how is Matt doing in business and not in a jail cell"

Most modern showers have a prefabricated base made from fiberglass or plastic, such as acrylic or polyurethane. Nonetheless, concrete mortar is still the traditional, go-to base for a custom walk-in shower.

You’ll need to add a waterproofing liner or membrane between the layers of mortar to keep moisture out. From there, you can top it with whatever type of tile you like to create a spa-like custom look. Be sure to include these considerations in your budget for the cost of a walk-in shower.

Walk-in showers actually raise a home’s value, with one major caveat. You need to make sure that you have another traditional bathroom, complete with a tub, somewhere else in the home. If it’s your only bathroom, a walk-in shower can lower a home’s value a bit. Prospective buyers don’t want to have to choose between the two.

The general rule of thumb regarding how much to spend on remodeling your home is not to exceed 30% of the value of your property for the remodel budget. For example, if your house is worth $350,000, the 30% rule suggests that you shouldn’t spend more than $105,000 on the remodel.

When remodeling a bedroom, the upgrades that add the most value will be replacing the flooring, repainting the room, and increasing light to the space either with larger windows or skylights. Renovating an attached bathroom also results in a value increase but can be an expensive project. Consider new light fixtures and removing popcorn ceilings or other outdated features.

Altering the layout of your bathroom will make a big difference as moving or adding plumbing quickly inflates your total bill. While you can recoup more of your cost (in home value terms) by adding a bathroom, rearranging the layout won’t affect your home’s sticker value. However, strategic placements that allow more light or better flow may increase buyer interest.
