"I highly recommend custom concept for any home improvement needs. I hired Gabriel and his team to get my rental property updated and ready to rent. They installed flooring through the entire home updated all lighting fixtures replaced and painted all door's as well as drywall repair and painted the entire home. Safe to say I have found my go to contractor and will continue to use him on all my future needs."

"He was punctual and professional; he explained everything he was going to do and got right to work. I have a large dog and recently purchased the house (was first rug cleaning since purchase) from owners who also had a dog so there were apparently a couple stains that turned up during the cleaning. He offered, for an additional $25, to use a pet neutralizer on the stains but I declined due to the limited quantity (2) and size of the stains. He offered, twice, to do my upholstery but the couches were new so I also declined that service. He wasn't pushy in offering and I would use him again depending on the non Angie's list deal price.

"Excellent work and reasonable pricing. Andres and his team were very professional and meticulous. The deck came out great and the overall painting looks flawless. As Andres promised, the preparation was well done and had produced great results. His team was careful in protecting my property and were very friendly and accommodating in handling all of my requests. They really went out of their way to earn my satisfaction. Would highly recommend."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Painting a damaged pool deck is not recommended if the substrate is crumbling, cracking, spalling, or otherwise actively deteriorating. Continuing deterioration will result in the paint also delaminating or flaking off the damaged surface. Minor damage such as chips or hairline cracks that are not actively deteriorating can often be repaired enough to paint over. A damaged pool deck with a lot of cracking and deterioration should be replaced for best results.

Always wait until the morning dew has dried before you stain your deck. The stain needs a fully dry surface to sink into.

When choosing between deck stain or paint, knowing what will last longer is important. Deck paint lasts longer than deck stain. With deck paint, you can get up to 10 years of coverage before you need to reapply. With deck stain, that time is significantly shorter at two to three years.

A properly applied coat of stain will last between 3 and 8 years, depending on your climate. If you live in a place where your fence experiences a lot of moisture or high heat, your stain will last for a shorter period than in more temperate conditions. We recommend reapplying stain every 3 to 5 years to keep your wood in good condition.

No, it is not okay to paint over rotted wood. Painting over rotted wood will not address the underlying issue and can trap moisture, leading to further decay. Properly addressing the rotted wood by removing and replacing or repairing the damaged areas is necessary before you can even consider painting.
