Owner Rich Linnell has been in the local flooring business for more that 40 years, starting in a family business, the Remnant King, in Hamilton in 1971. As a general laborer, measuring and installing carpets alongside an uncle and a cousin, Linnell eventually worked his way up to the title of Vice President. In 1996, at the prospect of the family business closing, Linnell accepted an invitation from East Windsor Carpet One Floor & Home to open the doors of a second location in neighboring Hamilton. Then in late 2012, as the company looked to downsize, the owners gave Linnell the option to buy the business; which he did with partners John McCabe, Maryann Bush, Donna Calu and Sherry Mattaliano.
