"Santos was quick to get in touch with me and provide an honest fair estimate. I hired him and he did the job the next day. He is a true professional and really knows what heâ s doing. He educated me on how to care for the carpet and how to avoid any problems with stretching and pulling. He did a beautiful job with re-stretching our carpets in 3 large rooms. He was neat, patient and cleaned up afterwards. I highly recommend Santos. He was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to hiring him again in the future and recommending him to others. Thank you Santos for a very professional job. It looks so much better now."

"Nelson and his wife came at the time expected, went right to work after I accepted their quote and did excellent work. The carpet was re-stretched to eliminate a crease in the middle of the room. They moved all the furniture necessary , vacuumed afterward and put the furniture back afterward. All in a short time. It looks great!!!"

"Everything went great! From the estimate to completion, I could not have asked for a better experience with this project. David, the owner, came out to do the estimate. He was courteous and knowledgeable and explained the process to us so that we understood it. He also identified the type of wood that we had, something no other company told us. The estimate came out a touch higher than the other guys, but we had more confidence in using this company based on the initial estimate process. As for the work, Oscar and his team did a great job! They moved our furniture with care and put it where we asked them to. They were punctual and on schedule throughout the whole process. They were courteous and very easy to deal with. They took the time to make sure we we were happy with how the floors were looming and asked us if we wanted to add items, such as a block of wood that transitions the wood floor to our slider and to rooms with carpeting. There was hardly any dust, as promised!! And they did a great job! Our floors look terrific."

"I chose them after finding them on Angie’s List. After contacting three or four other companies, they were the ones with the lowest price and offered the carpeting that was the most similar to what we had. The salesperson was very personable as well. The experience turned out okay.  It took about two weeks to have the work scheduled and they were able to complete the job in one day. What took me by surprise is that when they needed to cut the carpet to fit, they sprawled the carpet out on my driveway to do so. Part of my disappointment was how the salesperson who kept in good contact prior to the job did not come to look at it once it was completed. We previously had carpet down and assumed that it was flawless all the way through. When the salesperson came by, he did notice that there was an adjoined area. His installers did a pretty good job. There is one area where the seam is clearly noticeable. It was my intent to call the salesperson and have him come back and look at the work. However, I did not follow through.  Overall, I was just disappointed that the salesperson did not follow up and come take a look at the completed work."

Carpet Stretching questions, answered by experts

Vomit contains organic fluids along with whatever else comes out with it. When left without cleaning, vomit, and its odor can reach deep into carpet fibers and become very difficult to remove without a deep cleaning. In some cases, the combination can cause permanent carpet staining.

Carpet stretching isn’t permanent, but it can last anywhere from two to six years. The longevity of this project depends on the quality of the carpet and whether it’s in a high-traffic area. You might not be able to stretch old or damaged carpets because they can tear. Certain fibers, like nylon, stretch better than others.

Yes, you can revive carpet that’s flattened using household items like an ice cube and stiff brush, a damp cloth and an iron, baking soda and vinegar, and shaving cream. If you want to go all-out, visit a local home improvement store and buy a carpet rake, too. Depending on the state of your carpet, you may need to use more than one of these methods to see results. Keep in mind that you might need to repeat a reviving method more than once.

Hiring a pro to stretch a carpet costs anywhere from $100 to $300, though this price increases if you also task the contractor to remove and replace the furniture from the room. Doing it on your own maxes out at $100, though renting the power stretcher and knee kicker extend the cost in some instances.

If you want to save money on carpet repairs, there are a few ways to save without sacrificing quality. Some options you have include:

  • Cleaning set-in stains by renting a steam cleaner or using DIY carpet cleaning methods

  • Prepare the area for repairing yourself, such as moving furniture, to avoid unnecessary fees.

  • Protect high-traffic areas with a runner rug to avoid excessive wear and tear.
