"I called to hire Penguin and have them come to my home for a service call. I spoke with Larry and explained the issues I was having. He offered to come out for service call but suggested I try a few DIY things first. For several days I would try something he suggested, and then then call back to speak with Larry about what, if anything, changed. Each time he would spend whatever time on the phone with me that I needed, evaluating what I told him and explaining what to do next. And at the end of each call he would insist that I call him back for an update. Eventually with his expert guidance, I found multiple sources of air leaks in the system and was able to repair them myself. It ended up being a few gasket leaks and a worn out drain plug on the motor housing, not a leak in an underground pipe or fitting that would have required ripping up a new paver pool deck we had installed last year. Not only did Larry save me the expense of a service call and tons of potential work, he taught me a bunch of new ways to diagnose and address future issues. I feel like I went to pool school and Larry was my favorite professor. The level of customer service Larry offered was absolutely outstanding. I did not actually 'hire' Penguin, but if I or anyone else I know needs a pool installation or repair service in the future, I know EXACTLY who I'll be calling. "A little bit of a back story, my basement flooded on Christmas, during a storm a couple of years ago. I had to pay a company to install french drains inside the basement to avoid another flooding. Long story short, 12 thousand dollars later, I was left with the perimeter of my basement lower than the original floor level. It took me a while to save for a renovation but when I was ready I needed a jack of all trades with great attention to detail. I hired Khris to level out my floors and install luxury vinyl planks throughout. My basement finally looks and feels amazing! He wasn’t annoyed at all of my questions or me watching him do the installation (which I really appreciated). He went above and beyond to make sure I felt informed, and the end results reflect his knowledge and work ethic. I had him move a light switch, prime and paint all of the new drywall I had installed shortly after the flood, and few quick jobs around the house. He also installed my baseboards! Money well spent! I appreciate his professionalism and how well informed I felt throughout this process. After going through the flood last thing I needed was a janky job. 1000% recommended Simpson Home Solutions."

"Dave spent an hour and a half on the outside alone.  He left no stone unturned unless the seller had furniture or boxes in the way.  He had been in the construction business for 30 years, and that was very apparent.  He found things I would have never thought of, and was honest when he found good things as well.  He spent the time to explain and remind me of even the simplest safety things you should do in a home, like hitting the test and reset buttons on outlets once a month.  Apparently they break after a while and don't work at all.  I would definitely recommend Dave!!

"It went beautifully! Steve gave us suggestions that ultimately allowed us to save money and looked great! It was logistically difficult for us to be there but he kept us updated as he went along and sent pictures of the progress. And because we couldn't be there many things such as taking down pictures, moving knick-knacks as well as clothes and furniture were done by him and his crew without a problem. We added a few additional things to be done and the prices were very reasonable in my opinion. Mom is going to be so thrilled!"

"Structureline is the best contractor experience I have had so far -- with any construction project there will be quirks and things to work out, but Ed and Nicolas always felt like partners through the entire process.  My Husband  and I also enjoy doing things ourselves, though we were limited by our co-op's rules, but Ed and Nicolas  worked with us on what we did want to do (painting, assembly of built-in shelves, etc.).
I hired them for a interior renovation of a co-op apartment built around 1950-1960 with plaster walls.  The renovation encompassed kitchen, bathroom, flooring, the construction of a walk-in closet, and skim coating the walls. Also, the apartment had very little built-in lighting, so we asked them to install track lighting in the apartment as well.  We did not use a designer, but we did provide them with drawings for the kitchen cabinet layouts and lighting as well as measurements for the walk-in closet.  We also purchased almost all of the materials and furnishings for installation.
They installed everything as asked and worked with us on addressing any quirks they found in the unit (e.g., walls not straight making installation of something difficult, etc.).. What impressed me though are the small touches that we did not ask for -- several electrical outlets were installed into the kitchen that were not asked for but I am really GRATEFUL that they did.  They also took time to straighten handles, knobs, light fixtures, replace vent covers, among other small touches.
  They are definitely using technology to their fullest, with Ed being available via email as well as texting.  He was usually very quick to reply, snapping photos of any problems or questions and sending to me.
Nicholas  has a great problem solving mind, coming up with different ways to approach what we wanted in the bathroom, kitchen, and living room.
I would definitely recommend them after this experience.
