"Our old asphalt driveway was a cracked mess, and our front steps were literally crumbling away. These guys came out and completely transformed the front of our house with new interlocking pavers and a gorgeous set of stone steps. The crew arrived on time every day, kept the job site clean, and the curb appeal now is incredible. If you want high-quality masonry work, don't look anywhere else."

"Sam and his crew were so professional, courteous and respectful. I hired them to repair my front concrete steps. Sam quoted a reasonable price to install limestone, concrete, and place bricks all around the steps. I love my steps. The workmanship is so neat and the clean up was a wonderful touch. The attention to detail and efficiency was impressive. I will most definitely be using Professional Renovations for my future projects."

"A-1 Loyalty Construction did a great job repairing my concrete door steps. Ceasar explained his process thoroughly, provided pictures of similar jobs, and delivered on his promise to make them look like new. He and his team were punctual, professional, and personable. To top it off, his price was very reasonable. I highly recommend A-1 Loyalty Construction to anyone in need of masonry work."

"John and his team worked very hard on everything and did a wonderful job on the concrete Thursday & Friday. My pavers in the front look great too. They turned an overgrown weeded, nasty looking unused space on the south side of the house into usable clean space. What a beautiful transformation. The best part about this whole project is my sump pumps are not working. (Because they donâ t have to!) Mission accomplished. We are very happy with the job."

Concrete Resurfacing questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $500 to $2,500, depending on the area size and extent of damage.

There’s no legal requirement that states that you need rebar in a concrete driveway, but since the slab will be supporting heavy vehicle loads, it’s always a good idea to pay a bit more for rebar reinforcement. Your driveway will be much more likely to crack if you don’t reinforce it with rebar. Driveways that need to support commercial vehicles or provide parking for multiple vehicles at once should always include rebar reinforcement. If you’re pouring concrete over asphalt or pouring concrete over an existing slab, you may not have enough depth for rebar, meaning an increased risk of cracking.

The biggest downside to resurfacing concrete is its lifespan. Concrete resurfacing lasts for five to ten years, on average, while a new concrete slab would last for 20 to 30. The cost of concrete resurfacing is much lower, but you get more value from full replacement. Resurfacing also doesn’t address any underlying issues with your slab, so you may need additional repairs, like mudjacking.

Yes, you can repair a cracked concrete patio, although the type of repair and the cost will depend on the type of crack you’re experiencing. You can seal surface cracks yourself for as little as $15 for some concrete crack filler. Uneven or wide cracks may indicate structural issues and require help from professionals. In these cases, costs can climb as high as {MaxCost}, so it’s possible but somewhat expensive to repair.

If your concrete steps have crumbled or chipped, you can fix them by removing any chips or flakes, cleaning and wetting the affected area, applying a concrete bonding agent, and finally applying new concrete, usually in the form of Portland cement. For widespread damage, you can consider concrete resurfacing instead. For fixing concrete spalling that has led to deep damage, you might need to remove damaged material, add structural supports, and pour new concrete into a mold.
