"Absolute waterproofing just installed an interior french drain at my 1960 house. They did a system in my brotherâ  s basement, 2 years ago, in Bound Brook, and while all of his neighbors got flooded during Ida,, his basement was dry as a bone. That is all I needed to know. It turned out that the "French drains" were a trench at the edges of the basement and a sump pump. The drains were not piped to the sump pump.
