"Contractor talked us into getting pavers instead of stamped concrete. After about a year it started to fall apart. Steps that he made collapsed revealing exposed wood on my house, no flashing was used. Under the patio crushed concrete should have been used instead he laid a concrete slab that was only 1.5” thick and no reinforcements of any kind. Last year we developed a water drainage issue because the concrete slab collapsed. Try contacted the contractor numerous times. End result is I lost the 8k for the patio as well as 2k we spent on repairing the steps by another contractor only to spend an additional 3300 to demolish the patio. Now we are looking into getting a deck installed."
