"Excellent service from start to finish! They quickly diagnosed and cleared my sewer drain, explained everything clearly, and left the area clean when they were done. Professional, responsive, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them for any plumbing or drain issues."

"Jimmy was amazing. My boyfriend and I were in a serious bind when water started leaking into our kitchen from the bathroom upstairs after we just moved in. I called a handful of other plumbers who wanted to charge us an estimate to come, wanted me to send pictures for an estimate or quoted an exorbitant amount without a clear plan due to the complexity of our issue. I was starting to get really worried until I called Titan. Jimmy was professional, personable and fairly priced. He came that night and determined a plan for a permanent fix. The next day he rerouted all the pipes and corrected the issue in no time. We are so grateful we found him!"

"I rarely write reviews, but Mo absolutely deserves one. Even though the service I needed wasn’t something his company provides, he took the time to help me anyway. He spoke with me multiple times, reviewed the video of my sewer line and even called me back to explain what he saw and gave his honest, professional opinion. It’s not often you find someone willing to invest that much time in helping a complete stranger with no expectation of getting the job. Mo was friendly, outgoing, patient and incredibly knowledgeable. His willingness to help me gave me a better understanding of my sewer issue and I was able to make an informed decision. If he treated me this way, I can imagine how well he will treat his clients. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mo to anyone! Thank you Mo, for your time and kindness!! You’re the best!!!"

"Igor provided the estimate for several plumbing projects, supervised the other plumbers and handled one project himself. The work was performed exactly as per the estimate, with no surprises or upselling. The communication through the office regarding scheduling is excellent."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

The use of polybutylene pipes stopped in mid-1996 in the U.S., following a class action lawsuit that was filed against polybutylene plumbing manufacturers. Homes built between 1978 and 1996 are most likely to have polybutylene plumbing.

Pipefitting is a more specialized profession, and pipefitters work with complex systems and low- and high-pressure pipes, so it can be considered harder than plumbing. Though each profession comes with its challenges, the nature of pipefitting requires working with heavier materials in fast-paced and dangerous environments, which can be more challenging than working on residential and commercial plumbing systems.

The most likely reason is rust. You can try using lubricant to loosen the metal components, but you’ll most likely need to call in a plumber to professionally sand down the rust without damaging the rest of your bathtub. If the rust is extensive, it might be a sign that you need to replace the plumbing.

PEX pipes can freeze. While they are less likely to burst than rigid pipes like copper or galvanized steel, it is still possible. PEX is flexible and can expand as water freezes and contract as it thaws. However, this expansion can cause leaks around the pipe's connections. Furthermore, frequent freezing and thawing cycles can stress and weaken the material over time, increasing the risk of a future burst. Therefore, even though PEX is freeze-resistant, it is not freeze-proof, and standard insulation precautions are still recommended to prevent freezing.

Replacing a toilet costs between $275 and $480 in most cases, and the average cost sits around $375. This includes removing the old toilet and installing the new toilet. Your price could be significantly higher if you invest in a high-quality brand, need the replacement done on an emergency basis, or replace your toilet as a part of a larger bathroom remodel that demands additional work.
