"First off, Tim is the best guy ever! He’s the owner of the company and comes out and makes you at ease and is there every step if you have any questions. Secondly, his crew works their butts off - long hours and attention to details. Even when there was a change of plans, rain delays and uncontrollable set-backs, Tim made sure I not only got the finished product I desired, but that I was happy. And unlike some other contractors he only took 1/3 payment upfront and wouldn’t take final payment unless I was 100% satisfied, which I am. Lastly, I had some MAJOR work done - big project - multiple level, poured concrete patio with mix/matched, heavy stones on top. This was a big job, for a small company, and they knocked it out of the park! I highly recommend Tim and EuroPro for any major concrete/patio and masonry work. Five stars! Alex (Wyckoff)"

Customers say: Quality work

"I hired Val to install a drywall ceiling and install recessed lights in a three-season room in my home and retained him for various other remodeling projects. He also installed drywall in the basement, replaced an exterior fireproof door, cut through with concrete saw / framing, refinished cinder block wall with mesh / cement, painted walls, painted cement floor, power-washed chimney, filled gaps with mortar. He is very knowledgeable, does great work and is very detail oriented. I highly recommend him, for the quality of his work and his prices are very reasonable, he is trustworthy, at least that has been my experience."

"Company showed up on time , consulted with me about the work to be done . Tom , the supervisor came back to me any time he had a question about demo . In about 7 hours basement stripped , drains jack hammered , piping , stone , pumps installed , all debris taken away , a good cleanup of everything including power washing of basement floor . Next day came back and cemented drains and installed microbial barrier on walls . Total time of job about 10 hours . What did I do , sat on a lawn chair out front of my house ! I have never seen such work done like this , all the men worked very hard and as this was during the heat wave all the more impressive . I would definitely recommend Select Waterproofing , they are great !!"

"The recommendation of the bricks from Eric is good. The team of father and son from the company did a great job. They built a retaining wall and power washed driveway and applied polymeric sands on it. Both are great. The wall is beautiful. In addition, they applied gravels with a sheet inside the wall to provide the water drainage. The worker also provided suggestion on the sprinkler system that was in the wall, which was a smart recommendation. I will recommend them."

"We used A1 Loyalty Construction to fix our siding on one side of our house. Cesar and his team were amazing! Explained every step, worked with us while we replaced windows on that side also and were very professional and attentive. They did a great job taking down our siding and putting everything back up, even power washed that side! Definitely calling them up again once we are ready to do other work along with masonry work. Concrete Walls questions, answered by experts

Yes. Foundation walls are always load-bearing.

Yes, you can pour concrete if it rained the day before, but you’ll need to drain the construction site to ensure there isn’t standing water where your slab will sit. You might need to manually remove any puddles and set up drainage on your site to dry it before pouring. Moist soil won’t be an issue, but standing water will throw off your concrete mix ratios. Additionally, ensure there isn’t more rain expected in the near future before you pour.

Aim for a concrete thickness of at least 4 inches for the walls of your above-ground storm shelter and 3.0 to 3.5 cubic yards of concrete for the base of your storm shelter. If you’re concerned about the thickness of your concrete while building a storm shelter, get in touch with a professional storm shelter builder to make sure your work is up to code and safe.

Unfortunately, concrete cracks happen, so there’s no surefire way to avoid them long-term. To slow down the cracking, apply a sealant every two to three years and use sand rather than salt to melt snow or ice. Using salt speeds up the freeze-thaw cycle, which may increase the likelihood of cracking. Additionally, keep vehicles and heavy machinery off of your concrete, as the weight can lead to more cracking.

It's safe to assume that all exterior walls are load-bearing, or at least have load-bearing characteristics. Some older homes feature porches or bump-outs that don't rest on the home's foundation. However, they still must carry the weight of the roof section they support. Walls containing floor-to-ceiling glass or other non-structural elements must use post and beam configurations to meet load-bearing criteria.
