Small jobs welcome

"We hired Brian to install tile around our bathtub/shower. We had attempted to do the job ourselves, but Brian was able to come in and fix what we had done and make it beautiful! He was on time and had everything he needed to start the job quickly. He put drop cloths down around my house so he would not track in any water because it was raining that day. He was friendly, fast, and left my bathroom looking better than when he came. I highly recommend Brian and will be telling my friends about him. Thank you, Brian! We love the job that you did!"

"So happy with the results of my kitchen backsplash! I had already had my cabinets and countertops redone... Mike did an amazing job removing the tile from the wall and reinstalling my new tile without damaging my walls, countertop or cabinets. Very professional, kind and punctual! Would use them again in a heartbeat! Very happy customer!"

"EFH home improvement did an amazing job on my backsplash and flooring. He was very polite, knew exactly what he was doing and explained every step of the process. The work was completed in a timely manner and a reasonable price. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have any interior work done."

"They did an outstanding job!! Very professional and friendly and they worked clean. They asked me questions about placement of the sink and faucets and then they double checked just to make sure it was done the way I had asked. I will definitely be hiring them again!!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Flooring transition strips can be secured to the subfloor using glue, nails, or screws. For a more secure installation, especially in high-traffic areas, using screws or nails is recommended as it reduces the risk of slippage. However, if aesthetic appeal is a priority, glue provides a cleaner, more seamless finish without any visible holes or screw heads.

Installations typically take 1-3 days, depending on area size; repairs are usually completed sooner if the issue is localized.

Yes, you can use paint if you want to refresh your tile countertops. However, you must be mindful of the type of paint you use. Look for options explicitly created for tile that are also waterproof and durable. Over time, the paint will chip, so this is not considered a long-term solution for busy kitchens.

It’s easiest to start from an edge as it gives you a straight line. A problem may arise if your edge doesn’t line up perfectly, in which case it’s best to start from the center. Some think that starting tile from the center adds a focal point in the center of the hearth.

Porcelain and ceramic tiles are made from clay, but porcelain tiles are fired in a kiln at a higher temperature. This makes them more durable, but it also means porcelain is more expensive than ceramic at $3 to $5 more per square foot.

Even with the higher price point, many people choose porcelain over ceramic because there are more color and design options.
