"Franklyn C. was very professional and friendly. It is clear he takes a lot of pride in his work. He made sure the print was perfectly centered top to bottom and left to right on the wall. He also cut part of the bottom of the radiator cover so it would fit over the molding and be flush with the wall. We look forward to working with him again."

"I have painted every room in my house when I was younger, and I know it looks easier to do than it is. I'm pretty sure after the last time I said,'m never painting again! I have an old house with plaster wall indents and nicks on the doorways and molding. I read many of the reviews on Home Advisor and I took a chance on Arzeyuth's Painting based on the near perfect reviews. Im glad I did because Mr. Arzeyuth is a man of his word. He told me what he planned to do and followed through reliably with his impressive assistants. He told me the fee up front, was good to his word, and painted my 3 rooms and hallway within a few days. He did the final inspection himself to make sure it met his own approval. I will be calling him next year to do my first floor!"

"Excellent craftsmanship, I hired this company for a retaining wall. They exceeded expectations, and the workers were professional and friendly. I would recommend Super Tony to family and friends. They also kept me in the loop, and touched base through the entire process. My new 60 foot retaining wall looks great!"

Wall Repair FAQs, answered by experts

If you don’t backfill a retaining wall—either at all or adequately enough—the wall won’t drain well, and water will be able to pass through it. Poor drainage will lead to a warped wall or a buildup of hydrostatic pressure, which can eventually collapse your retaining wall. If you have particularly sloped land, consult a structural engineer to ensure your hardscaping is adding value to your home.

The longevity of flood walls depends on how they were constructed, but most wood, gravel, and cement flood walls last 10 years. While aluminum flood walls may cost far more initially, they can be a good investment as they can last decades and will not be damaged by exposure to the elements.

Yes, you can use cinder blocks for many purposes, including retaining walls, foundations, garage walls, and fences. Building a cinder block retaining wall costs between $60 and $200 per linear foot, including materials and professional labor. For a 30-foot-long retaining wall, the cost ranges from $1,800 to $6,000.

Failure to compact the soil during construction is the most common cause of leaning retaining walls. In addition, poor drainage can lead to excessive water pressure behind a retaining wall, pushing against it until it begins to move forward away from the soil it is holding back.

Most railroad tie retaining walls have a life span of 20 to 30 years, though you may need to replace your wall sooner if it’s repeatedly exposed to heavy rain, runoff, and excess moisture. Railroad ties are typically treated with creosote, which makes them much more durable than untreated wood. Though they last longer, they don’t last forever. For the most longevity, make sure your retaining wall has a sturdy base and steel reinforcements. You should also install drainage to direct water away from the wall.
