"The two landscapers that came to my home were professional and efficient and they had a great system. They left the yard looking great and did exactly what we asked of them. We will for sure be using them again."

"Jim came out and gave us a quote and did an excellent installation the same week. He had all the necessary tools to do the job even though my driveway was very long. The finish product was exactly what we had talked about and the price was very fair. I would recommend him for any driveway installations"

"Chris did an excellent job! I got many different quotes through companies from Google and HomeAdvisor but felt Chris could do the job the best. He took out an old walkway, built a new walkway down a different area in my front yard then added a new retaining wall and granite steps from my driveway to my front door. He also put in a circle kit near my front door and put in a granite mailbox post. Everything came out perfect! Chris is a very hard worker, great communicator and I am very satisfied with the work he did. I would hire him again!"

Customers say: Quality work

"We had a water problem with water coming into our finished basement after a heavy rain. S.L. Dionne excavated down to the base of the foundation to fill a crack in the foundation, seal the crack, and cause any water coming near the house to run away from the house. Not only did they do the job perfectly, exactly on schedule, they re-landscaped the disturbed area so my front yard now looks better than before."

"Your stupid websight did not help me at all. I simply wanted concrete delivered to my house instead I got directed to someone who builds foundations. You then proceed to invade my privacy with phone calls and emails asking me how my project is going. Stop contacting me and get out of this business you do not have a clue."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

A driveway approach is the part of a driveway where the public road meets the private driveway. This section contains several key elements, including the driveway apron, the curb cut, and the end slope. Depending on the slope of the driveway, this area may also contain the trench drain.

You should contact your driveway installer before winterizing a newly installed driveway. Winterizing it before the asphalt or concrete has fully cured can damage the driveway. But in many cases, you don't need to winterize a newly installed driveway anyway since it's likely freshly sealed and won't have much damage yet.

Yes, it is possible to pave over an existing driveway, but whether it's the right choice depends on several factors. If the underlying structure of your current driveway is still strong, concrete or asphalt resurfacing can be a cost-effective way to prolong its life. However, if your driveway has significant issues like potholes, deep cracks, or other inconsistencies, it is best to remove the old driveway and start from scratch. Key factors to consider include the current driveway's condition, the compatibility of the new material, the added thickness and height, and the necessary surface preparation.

Cobblestone is just one of many driveway materials. Other, more economical, albeit less elaborate options include concrete, asphalt, and gravel.

If you want a material that most closely resembles cobblestone, your best option is bricks or pavers. Both cost anywhere from $10 to $50 per square foot and can be laid in all kinds of patterns. Depending on the type of paver you choose, you can also get a good bang for your buck by investing in durable natural stone.

Recycled asphalt is not better than gravel, but can be a good alternative. It is inexpensive, but not as low-cost as gravel, and doesn’t tend to last as long. Recycled asphalt isn’t as dusty as gravel and is more environmentally friendly. The black look can be something that homeowners prefer. No matter what, ensure you choose an experienced recycled asphalt contractor.
