Bryan had to hire another person to work with him as his regular employee is recuperating from an emergency situation so the work will take longer than expected. My husband says he's doing a good job ,as the work is in our vacation home in NH and I am in MA. "Price seemed a bit high for such a small job, but they could do it the same day. They did come down on the price when I agreed to get it done today. However since then Iâ ve noticed that the mortar in the patched area is nearly flush with the brick face, whereas the other mortar (the whole rest of the wall) is set quite deep in. The patched area really stands out as a patch. They didnâ t match the mortar depth to the rest of the wall. Iâ ve repainted the entire hearth to see if that helps, but itâ s still quite noticeable. Not impressed. Lesson learned."
