"Jeff was clear with his explanations and diagnosis on what might and probably is the problem, with my 25+ year old AC. He explained in detail what could be done with installing a DIY mini split system."

"Cully removed old walls in a hallway and installed new sheetrock, did
all of the prep work and painted.  The job required removing and
restoring a great deal of molding, and he was careful to try to preserve
as much of it as possible.  He replaced the few pieces that could not
be saved and reinstalled all of the freshly painted molding.  He also
arranged for an electrician to install several new outlets and new
hard-wired smoke detectors. The job had to be done on a very specific
time schedule, and there was no room for schedule shift. Both Cully and
the electrician complied perfectly with the timeframe and by working
late, completed the job in record time.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"Fantastic service here. We hired Jordan to install a dual zone mini split in a recent family room renovation. He knocked it out in one day, and arrived with all the supplies and tools for the job. Install was excellent. He even showed right back up when we were having some problems with one of the units a few days later. We wouldnâ t hesitate to rehire or recommend his services to anyone."

"The guy that was doing the siding started to put them on and didn't ask me how much I wanted exposed to the weather. He ended up spacing the boards more than I wanted. He also didn't pre-drill the holes on the siding which caused splitting. I got the feeling he didn't know what he was doing. Also they put on the windows without the proper flashing and didn't use caulking behind the nails. Again I felt they didn't know what they were doing."

Nest Installation questions, answered by experts

There’s no easy way to calm down swarming wasps, especially if they are already agitated. Stay far away and wait for them to settle down to avoid injury. If you’re attempting to DIY kill a very small wasp nest, wait until night to apply wasp spray, as they are calmest and most docile when it’s dark.

Squirrels have a strong sense of smell and can be deterred by various scents they dislike. Effective options include peppermint oil, rosemary, garlic, cinnamon, white vinegar, coffee grounds, and predator urine. Squirrels also have a strong aversion to capsaicin, the compound that makes chili peppers hot, making capsaicin-based repellents a good choice for protecting specific areas like gardens or bird feeders. For a DIY solution, you can create a garlic and vinegar spray and apply it daily. Additionally, placing strong-smelling items like certain soaps or dryer sheets near where squirrels frequent can also be effective.

Although it would make things easier for you, animals won’t likely leave the attic on their own. Unless the animal finds seasonal respite in your attic, it’s likely to stay in a protected space as long as it is allowed. Get rid of animals in your attic by calling the appropriate wildlife removal professionals so they can safely and efficiently remove the critters from your home, being careful to avoid further damage to your home.

Whether you should stay in the home during a pest control service depends on the type of treatment. Some types allow you to stay, while others such as fumigation will require you to leave your home. The pest control company will provide specific instructions for the type of service that will be done to ensure you follow the proper protocol to keep you and your family safe.

Armadillos are not considered friendly animals. They are solitary and tend to avoid human interaction. While not aggressive, they can be shy and reclusive, often scurrying away when approached. Armadillos may carry diseases, so handling them is not advised.
