"John Welch and his crew did an amazing job on our yard and they had a lot of work to do! They are very professional and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a really good landscaper! Great job and many thanks! Billy C."

"They were on time, were cheerful and helpful, everything was great until I asked for the bill and was quoted what seemed like the tab for a major construction cleanup: $590 for loading & taking away the household stuff we had cleared out of our basement and shed and piled on the lawn. When he saw the incredulous look on my face, he quickly lowered it to $450, which I thought was still a lot for the amount of work involved, but I don't like being forced to dicker, so I wrote the check. I'd recommend them but you should agree on a firm amount before they start loading."

"We hired Christian to remove tree stumps on our property. He gave us a price the next day and started work within a week. His work ethic is incredible—he left the site spotless and communicated clearly every step of the way. Since then, he’s regraded our driveway, removed an old chicken coop, and cleared brush. It’s safe to say Christian is our go-to contractor now."

"We had an area in our yard where we had removed a tree and grass would not grow. We tried reseeding for several years, and they result was always the same... a big bare patch. Dustin came up a great plan...stones, pavers and some plants, but plenty of room for us to personalize it. BTW...far right of the photo is a drainage ditch that he had to work around....integrated it nicely into his work."

"Replaced leech field- he did an excellent job removing my old leech field and replacing it with a better system. From the time I entered the job in homeadvisor (approx 8am) I was called back before noon. We scheduled a site review later that day. From the time I selected Roadway, there was constant progress. Even when the permits were in progress, they were in constant contact to let me know what was going on. When the permits were in order, they worked nonstop until the job was done. Their work was excellent, prompt and neat. Highly recommend."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

A land survey provides precise property boundaries, reveals legal encroachments, and identifies rights-of-way, minimizing disputes. Understanding the exact dimensions and features of the property aids in informed decision-making and safeguards the buyer's investment.

ALTA/ACSM surveys are the most comprehensive type of land survey and, as such, tend to be the most expensive. These surveys have standardized guidelines and reports and are used in many kinds of real estate transactions to ensure consistent and accurate information is available for properties.

Several government-backed lending programs can help first-time home buyers purchase a home with little money down. FHA, USDA, and VA loans are options for qualifying borrowers, though many conventional mortgage lenders will lower down payment rates to as low as 3 percent.
