"Tim and his crew have done 3 projects for us: converting an existing deck into a 3-season sun-room, building a brand new deck, converting an unused closet into a sauna. We could not be happier with the results. The guys do quality work, with attention of every detail. They do not take shortcuts. On a personal level, a great group of guys, who work hard and get satisfaction from doing great work. I would be happy to recommend Tim and his crew without any hesitation."

Small jobs welcome

"Our bathroom remodel was a huge task and Costas, Tony, and Pauly did a great job! Very easy to work with and we never minded having them in our house. Their initial quote was exactly what we paid! Definitely recommend and will hire them for future jobs!"

"To start off I?ve never hired a contractor to complete any tasks on my home so I was worried that things wouldn?t go well as I?ve heard nightmare after nightmare scenarios about contractors. When I first met John I knew things would get done right. He was straight forward and honest about everything. What resources he could work with and how things would honestly go. We came up with a design the was realistic together, (pencil to paper always works best). We measured everything together, he came up with a quote and my wife and I signed. I had interviewed seven contractors prior to John and he was the only one who gave me the right answers and straight talk. We had a clear cut plan and it was executed wonderfully. No problems just weather causing delays and I plan on asking for John?s services in the future. I have already recommended John to several of my colleagues and associates. Also if he ever gets a chance to read this, thank you and Cesar?s family for all the hard work you did."

Customers say: True professional

"We started out looking for an architect/designer, and met the owner of Tseranos Construction, Sterg, in the process. He referred us to a design architect, which we used, and we ended up then hiring Tseranos Construction as our general contractor. Sterg was really great to work with. He found ways to keep costs down while doing everything that we wanted to have done. In the end, the garage construction project took about 5 months, but we are thrilled with the results. Would hire Sterg again for future projects."

"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

The method involves lifting settled concrete using pressurized cement slurry via drilled holes. This solves uneven surfaces and prevents further settling.

The average cost for mudjacking is around $1,200, though prices can range from $300 to $3,400. On a per-square-foot basis, you can expect to pay between $3 and $8, with an average of about $5 per square foot. The final cost depends on several factors, including the square footage of the concrete, the type of slab, its accessibility, whether it is load-bearing, and the type of material used to lift it. Generally, lifting a driveway, small patio, or sidewalk is less expensive than lifting a slab foundation or garage floor.

Most houses are expected to settle over time, but foundation sinking of more than a few inches or uneven sinking of more than an inch for every 20 feet is cause for concern. Any significant or uneven sinking should be assessed by a professional to determine the cause and perform any necessary repairs.

The polyurethane used for polyjacking will expand and cure in 15 to 30 minutes. After that point, your slab will be safe to walk on and even drive on in the case of a sidewalk or concrete driveway. Double-check with your concrete lifting specialist to confirm a curing timeline, as products can differ.

There is no real alternative to underpinning, although mudjacking and polyjacking are other repair methods that can add support from underneath your foundation. Rather than placing supportive piers under your structure, these involve pumping a material under your slab to lift a sunken section back into its original position. Polyjacking, in particular, is sometimes a suitable solution for stabilization issues under slab foundations, but underpinning is often accepted as the best and most permanent solution.
