"I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They were prompt and worked through the day with little down time. The crew was pleasant and respectful to both us and our property. The owner checked in with us and answered all of our questions. We already plan to hire them again for another project."

"The crew supervisor came by for an estimate the day I requested a quote. He said the crew would be there at 8:00 am in two days. They showed up on time and prepared with all the needed equipment. They were very professional and did the job quickly and neatly. The chipped the branches and loaded sections of the stems into a truck, then used a leaf blower to clear away the sawdust and debris too small to chip. We were very pleased with the work."

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

Most rose bushes should not be heavily pruned in the summer since this is the prime growing and blooming season. The best time to trim is typically after the growing season or right before spring, depending on your rose bush variety. However, you can cut away any dead or diseased areas or lightly trim spent blooms during the summer to encourage more growth.

It’s possible to go too far trimming your bushes or hedges. If you overdo it, you may kill the plant. Stick to trimming about a third of the branches on your bush each season to prevent over-cutting. If your hedge is overgrown and needs a heavy trim, avoid cutting off the main branches that make up the top of the bush.

Some states have bans on disposing of yard waste in plastic bags in landfills. Yard waste takes up space in landfills and releases methane gas when disposed of improperly. It's best to repurpose it naturally to benefit your garden and the environment.

It’s possible to over-mulch leaves. If the leaf mulch is thick enough that it’s blocking and smothering the grass, that’s a problem. Ideally, you should still be able to see the grass when you’re done mulching to ensure its ability to continue growing. The solution is to make another pass at the top layer of leaf mulch to collect some of the top layer.

We always recommend wearing a protective mask when blowing leaves (as well as goggles if possible). Blowing leaves creates a lot of dust, and in many cases that dust contains a bunch of allergens that can make those sensitive very miserable. Even worse, moldy leaves can contain fungi and bacteria that could make humans as animals very sick. Mask up before starting your leaf project, and if anyone is helping you collect the leaves it’s a good idea if they wear a mask, too.
