Warranties offered

"Warren and his employees worked very hard in the crawl space of my log cabin home. Warren discussed in length my options with pricing and gave recommendations that best fit my needs. Many times contractors tend to want to upsell and Warren did not. I could tell he was honest and forthright in our conversation. The completed work was outstanding and the communication throughout this process was excellent. They left the site clean and in better shape. I had no real knowledge of this kind of product but Warren educated me along the way and made me feel like I was part of their team. A one point they ran out of product but quickly jumped into action to rectify this issue in a most timely fashion. I couldnâ t be happier and I wouldnâ t hesitate to use their services again. Lastly, I had just moved into this community and I felt it was important to use a local company, one that would make me feel comfortable during the decision process, Warren was that guy you knew would do right by you. I am sometimes a skeptical former Marine but it has been a pleasure dealing with Warren and his team. Thank you NEE for a job well done and in under budget!"

Small jobs welcome

"I scheduled a time with Brian Gordon to come give me a quote and he arrived promptly on time. His quote for vacuuming out the old spray insulation and blowing in new cellulose insulation into my attic was a very fair price. He and his team did a great job. I would recommend him to anyone."

"Roland did an excellent job. He explained the things I needed and those that I didn't. He was right on time and finished the job in the time he stated. He was very professional and knew what he was doing. If you are looking for a straight shooter without any of the sales frills (and the larger cost) then Sav-On Insulation should be your choice."

"We needed to insulate a sun room for use year-round. USA Insulation did a good job injecting plant-based foam into the walls, and cleaning up afterwards."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Drywall insulation costs around $1,800, on average, but prices can range from $500 to $4,500, depending on a few different factors. The following things are important considerations to make when pricing out your insulation project:

  • Square footage of insulation

  • Type of insulation

  • Climate in your area and the insulation R-value required

  • Whether or not your walls are already finished

  • Accessibility of the area

  • Whether or not you need old insulation removed first

The most affordable way to insulate behind unfinished walls is to install fiberglass batts or rolls. These total around $0.75 per linear foot, with the width matching the gaps between standard studs perfectly. However, it’s important to consider the R-value of your insulation and the climate in your area, as fiberglass insulation isn’t the best in terms of preventing heat transfer. Plus, the most affordable option may cost more on electricity bills over time. The most affordable way to insulate behind finished walls is to leave them up and use blown-in insulation to avoid drywall replacement.

It's essential to use insulation materials specifically designed for air ducts. Common types of duct insulation materials include fiberglass, foam board, and reflective foil. These insulation materials have the right properties to withstand the temperature and airflow conditions within the ductwork. Using the appropriate insulation not only ensures efficient temperature control but also prevents potential safety hazards or the release of harmful particles into the air.

Monolithic slabs don’t require insulation, but many homeowners choose to have their contractors install insulation under the slab during construction. This can help improve home efficiency even more and keep indoor temperatures more stable. Slab foundations are more energy-efficient than uninsulated crawl spaces and basements, and insulated slab foundations are more energy-efficient than insulated crawl spaces and basements.

Fiberglass is considered dangerous only if your skin comes into contact with it or if you breathe in any fiberglass particles. This is because fiberglass is literally made of tiny fibers of glass that can cut your skin and your organs. While there aren’t many long-term effects, it’s still important to take all the proper safety precautions when working with fiberglass.
