Angie's list "deal"-We contacted this mover through Angie's list because of the "deal" they have listed for 2 movers, 2 hours $199. We found out AFTER the movers had been there for 6 hours, that this is not a deal, it is in fact their normal rate for service. In addition, they require a two hour minimum and charge a "truck fee" of $50 , though we were using our own rented equipment and packing supplies. This was explained as a "fee to cover the expense of driving to your home" How are you planning on moving my things if you don't come to my home? This mystery fee was not disclosed in the "deal" purchased, upon scheduling or prior to services being performed. Additionally no insurance was offered to cover any potential damage to our belongings. Poor Time Management-This complaint is two fold. First, when contacted to schedule our move, we were told that it takes 6 hours to "load, drive across town, and unload", and that we would not need service for longer than that time. Since we were only requesting load assistance, the estimated time was four hours. It was made very clear that this was a three bedroom home and that all boxes had been packed but assistance would be required to wrap furniture. Again,we were given a 6 hour time frame. The movers who arrived mentioned on several occasions that they had just come off a 13 hour packing service the day prior for a three bedroom home. 13 hours to do the job we were told would take 6. Additionally, though polite, the movers were extremely chatty, and had to be asked on several occasions to pick up the pace. One of the gentleman could not lift anything, so he wrapped our furniture (poorly but more on that in a minute) the other packed the truck by himself. After 4 1/2 hours, Less the 1/4 of a 26 foot truck had been packed and nothing had been placed in the trailer. Seeing that they were not going to come close to finishing the job they were hired to do, we asked them to move all large pieces to the truck because we were not able to carry them by ourselves. promptly at 6 hours, they came requesting payment, at which time we were given their price chart and showed that we in fact did not receive a "deal" on their services and had to pay a "truck" fee. Being on a very strict timeline and knowing that the men sent to our home were not in charge we paid the bill with the intention to address the situation with the owner. After they left, we opened the truck door which they had closed to discover that all of our furniture had been haphazardly placed in the truck. Nothing was tightly packed. The job was so poor we had to unpack half of what they had done and enlist our friends at the 11th hour to assist us with the job we just paid $650 to have completed. Time not being on our side, we had to actually rent a second trailer to pull behind our car to fit the items that should have fit but could not due to the poor packing. This was an additional charge of $180. The movers we hired at our new location commented specifically, with no knowledge of the poor service we had received in Florida, that the front of the truck was very poorly packed and looked like it had been done by someone other than whomever packed the remaining trailers and back half of the truck. Damaged furniture-I am not a professional mover, but have moved several times in the last 15 years and even I know to protect the corners on furniture. Every single piece of our brand new bedroom set was damaged. This was the last thing the movers threw onto the truck after 4 1/2 hours of taking their time. All the corners are badly damaged, large deep scratches and areas where the finish has been completely scraped off. There are several hundred dollars worth of damages that should never have happened given that each piece was painstakingly wrapped (45 minutes to wrap a headboard, dresser, armoire and chest) by a mover who was too small to actually move anything. Additional damage has been found to our dining room table, leather couch and loveseat. Failure to return Phone Calls-Multiple attempts to reach the owner of this business have been unsuccessful. Two messages were left, on two different numbers provided, and no return phone call has been received. I would NEVER recommend these movers to anyone. The men who came to our home were very nice, albeit not very good at their job. They were courteous, polite and had we been at a picnic would have been great to chat with. Unfortunately, they failed to complete the task they were hired to do in the time frame they were hired to do it. UPDATE: Although they wouldn't return the phone calls, they did respond to an e-mail. Their explaination for the timeframe and quality was poor at best, but we awere able to settle on compensation and I am glad to be done with this company forever.

I called during business hours and was transferred to someone who scheduled my cleaning. I was informed ahead of time to remove everything I could from the area to be cleaned and they called to confirm and remind me to prepare the day before cleaning was scheduled. Two polite guys came over with a powerful machine that operates in the back of a van through an enormous hose. They sprayed the carpet with a treatment then used the machine. It blasts steam from the hose to a head that directs it deep into the carpet and then sucks it out the other edge of the same head which is transparent. You can see grime getting blasted right out of the carpet! They did a great job on the carpets and the stairs. It really was great but don't expect "like new" as some things just won't completely come out. They set that expectation on the phone when I scheduled. They spray the treatment and do a powerful once-over with the machine. I think they even got under the radiators as much as possible. My allergies are much better and I was revealed to know that the Resolve I'd used to clean up spills was finally completely removed. I don' t like scented products and forgot to mention it. The treatment they use did have a sent but in the end after the cleaning It had a mild and pleasant odor and the next day house just smell pleasantly clean. I had them clean the center of the family room then move the sofa to the center of the room and clean where it goes. Next time I will put my sofa on furniture movers so that there is no chance of the legs interacting with the wet carpet and so i can push it around a bit while it dries. I left it in one place until the floor was dry and it was still wet under where the legs were resting. All around I was very pleased. I may get my machine fixed for cleaning spills but I will still have AJ Rose do the carpets once a year. "Working with Sparkling Cleaners is not an easy task. One cleaner gave me a non-working number to contact the business. At a different number, no one answers the call, and the machine does not leave one enough time to leave an adequate message. The management does not communicate well, and it is not easy to reach them with any issues related to the schedule and/or the quality of service. When I discussed issues with Johnny today (11/24) regarding an unannounced change to todayâ s cleaning and the subsequent ripple of changing it, he stated that he was doing the best he can and that â everyone has something and not everyone can get a regular schedule with the same cleanerâ ¦â That statement makes me wonder what one must do to become one of the clients with whom they have established regularity. Additionally, their emails often will drop into spam folders so if you do not monitor that folder, you will not see it. I was told, â if our system doesnâ t work for you, then perhaps we shouldnâ t be doing business with you.â Client oriented this organization is NOT. (imagine a YODA voice) The schedule process is not ideal. Once you establish an initial schedule, they can and will change and without warning. One is never able to plan for a cleaning day. I like to be home when the cleaning occurs. For this reason, I plan other activities so that I can be present. When they cancel without notice, it through the day off. While someone else originally set up the account for me, she supplied my contact information at the time of initiation but for whatever reason, they donâ t use it. Any information that they provide her does not always reach me. When they do make changes, they make the changes in their system but do not let you know. The quality of the service is irregular. Since the beginning of service in July 2023 - at a rate of twice a week â there have been nine (9) cleanings completed in varying degrees of cleanness from four (4) different cleaners, Riley, Emma, Tiffany and Alishia. The first three were extremely poor cleaners and worked very slowly. Because Sparkling Cleaning employees are required to provide their own supplies, the quality of cleaning solutions, scents, etc. vary from cleaner to cleaner. That said, only Alishia works with efficiency and visible evidence of cleaning having occurred. She works quickly and is cordial. The other three provided sketchy service. How one can clean with just a couple of rags, one cleaning solution for all surfaces, a mop and water (no cleaning solution) and a vacuum is beyond me. Tiffany took the full three hours and aside from the bathrooms, it was quite visible that she did a poor job â dust remained on furniture, cobwebs in the corners of the stairs were not removed, etc. While the service provided by Sparkling Cleaning is not terribly expensive, caveat emptor."
