"It went really well. Finding a solid spot to attach grab bars through a fiberglass shower enclosure is tricky because of the gap between the fiberglass and the studs. Chris found a kit from Moen that made the installation look fantastic and super safe. I think he was unfamiliar with this kind of an installation before this project but he did his homework and we ended up with a really nice job. The installation looked very professional and Chris did a great job of clean up afterwards. I would definitely use him again."

Per the International Code Council, walk-in shower floors should have a minimum slope of 1/4-inch per foot (or a 2% slope) towards the drain. The slope should be no steeper than 1/2-inch per foot (or a 4% slope). This helps safely direct water into the drain rather than all over your bathroom.

Replacing tile flooring can take a few days for a pro, but larger rooms will need more time. It takes eight to 12 hours for a tiling pro to remove old grout and tiles across 100 square feet. Tiles on backsplashes can last even longer since they’re less likely to crack under foot traffic or from accidental drops, but even tile in high-traffic flooring can last a century or more with proper installation and upkeep. Porcelain tiles are denser and stronger than standard ceramic tiles, so they’ll last longer, often pushing past the 100-year mark.
