"Very pleased with communication, concern for my yard, and quality of work. Andrew asked about specific issues with my yard and assured me he would give them extra attention. I appreciated his concern."

"We just needed a one time yard cleanup, and they did a great job trimming all the bushes, laying down mulch, and hauling all the debris away. The yard looks great!"

"The guys from JCM HOME SERVICES rescued me this weekend! I needed lawn service right away because I was going to have surprise visitors the next day and my yard was a mess! (Embarrassing!) Even though it was at the end of the workday and the two men had already put in a full very hot and humid day of hard labor, they responded to my plea on Angi. They came over immediately and within a couple hours, my grass was trimmed, mowed, and sidewalk edged. They raked, cleaned up debris by hand, shovel and blower. They were careful, respectful, friendly and my yard looks great! I’m very happy JCM Home Services did all this work for me and only on a moment’s notice. I would recommend them for sure! I believe they have the muscles and initiative to take care of any home service need you have."

"I think they treated the wrong lawn. The note they sent me via text message referenced trees and shrubs in my yard, I have none. They also did not leave a yard marker showing they had been there. Otherwise, this would have been a 5 star review."

Lawns questions, answered by experts

The best way to clean artificial turf is to use a stiff-bristled broom or rake to loosen up any large debris once a week. The process will also redistribute the infill material that keeps your turf blades standing up straight and evenly. For artificial turf maintenance, do not vacuum your turf or apply cleaning solutions. If you need to rinse the blades, spritz them with a light hose.

Using a leaf blower is often the easiest way to pick up leaves. It quickly and efficiently gathers leaves into manageable piles, requiring less physical effort than manual raking. Additionally, you can choose to bag the collected leaves or use a mulching mower to break them down into natural mulch, simplifying the cleanup process further.

The cost of yard work depends on the type of work you need done. The average cost of lawn care is $300, but you could pay as little as $100 or up to $500.

To remove old grass effectively, you typically need to dig to one to two inches. This depth typically allows you to reach the root system of the grass, ensuring thorough removal. However, if the grass is a particularly dense or deep-rooted variety (such as Bermuda grass), or if you're planning to replace it with a different landscaping feature, you may need to dig deeper to loosen the soil and remove any underlying roots.

If possible, you should prioritize pulling weeds up by hand. However, be sure not to use your bare hands, as many weeds are sharp or otherwise irritating when they come in contact with skin. Always don thick, protective gardening gloves to protect your hands when you pull up weeds.
