"LeafFilter doesn't clean gutters, they sell and install their LeafFilter Gutter products and only clean the gutters if you buy their product. I can't even begin to afford their product so I wasn't able to get my gutter cleaned by them."

"Ordering was a breeze and Frontpoint gave me a call to make sure what I ordered was the best package for me.  We actually went through it all and figured out I needed to swap a couple of items for different ones. They did the swap at no extra cost to me and I had the system in my hands a few days later.
It took about 15-20 minutes to get everything set up and another 20 minutes or so on the phone to get it activated.  It couldn't have been easier.  We worked the system in "test mode" for a couple days to get used to all the ins and outs and we brought it up "live" without any issues.
We had subscribed to the most basic package and they gave us 30 days of the middle package for free, which includes remote and mobile monitoring, arming/disarming, the ability to label sensors, and their "crash and smash" protection.  After a week or so, we called back and subscribed to that package for good ($8/m extra but well worth it).
We love the system, plain and simple.  It's easy to arm/disarm and we feel safe knowing that it all works.  We know it works because I forgot to remotely disarm it for contractors doing work on our home one morning.  They called me and told me my alarm was going off and they couldn't even stay in the house because it was so loud.  I received a call from Frontpoint 30 seconds later asking me for my code and password and asking me if I was alright.  I was able to remotely disarm it in the meantime and they said they saw that.  It's great to know everything works like it's supposed to.
I love the system because it's easy self-install, it's easy to add or remove sensors (that takes a phone call, but it's easy), it's nice to be able to see everything remotely and control it all while I'm away, they have excellent customer service, and their response time is perfect.
If I had to list something negative, I would say the pieces by themselves are a little pricey.  Door/window sensors are $33, motion sensors are $65, and if you want to go to outside cameras, they're $400 each.  Small price to pay for safety?  Maybe.  However, I know I was unable to buy anything past the initial package on the first go-around and had to piece the rest together as time went on.
I will continue to build my home security system through Frontpoint and I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone.  No hardwired installation, no relying on phone lines (this works through cellular), and no bringing the company in to "consult" your wallet clean.
Absolutely great system and service.

Deck Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Yes, deck footings typically require an inspection before laying down concrete. While not all local building codes require footing inspection, proper placement ensures a safe and structurally sound deck. An inspector will verify that the deck can adequately hold what you put on top of it., and that the footings have been dug to the correct dimensions.

The average cost to professionally clean or pressure wash a deck is around $150, with prices typically ranging from $100 to $600. Several factors influence the final price, including the deck's size, material, condition, and how long it has been since its last cleaning. For a smaller deck of about 300 square feet, you might pay around $100. For a larger deck of 1,000 square feet or more, the cost could be closer to $300 to $400. Decks that are very dirty or haven't been cleaned in years may require more time and special detergents, which will increase the price. The deck's material also plays a role. Wood decks often cost more to clean because they require a gentle power washing technique to avoid damage. Composite decks are typically less expensive to clean, and cleaning a metal deck may cost around $100.

Homeowners should build their floating decks at least 18 inches off the ground. Having it at this height will allow for better airflow underneath and help prevent moisture-related problems like warping or rot. That being said, local guidelines for deck heights may vary depending on where you live.

Trex states that its Trex decking is an eco-friendly composite material made of 95% recycled or reclaimed materials (including plastic and wood), making it a sustainable brand of choice. According to the company, Trex is one of the largest plastic bag recyclers in the U.S., with each 500-square-foot Trex deck containing about 140,000 recycled plastic bags.

You can build an outdoor kitchen on a deck, but you should choose composite decking since it's more heat-resistant. Metal deck materials like steel and aluminum are also good choices because they're less flammable than wood. You should also consider the weight of the kitchen—make sure your deck can support it and any appliances you plan to use. You should consult a structural engineer to confirm exactly how much weight your deck can safely support when building an outdoor kitchen.
