"I reached out to Doerr Enterprise for tree trimming on a couple of my trees hanging over my house. He got back to me in a timely manner and set up a schedule of when he would come and do them. He stuck to the plan and got it done when he said he would. After it was all finished you could not even tell he was ever there. The clean up was fantastic. Would hire again and recommend to many family and friends."

Mulch and Topsoil FAQs, answered by experts

Yes, gravel comes in different sizes, from fine powder to pea-, coin-, and even golf ball-size. Pea gravel is about 3/8 inch, while crushed stone gravel is about 3/8 to 4 inches. Most companies use a numerical system to assign a size, with the smallest being #10 and the biggest being #1.

There are several reasons your grass may be dying that could be in or out of your control. The most common issues include poor drainage, under/overwatering, poor soil pH, low soil nutrients, low sunlight, or too much foot traffic.

If you have a large area of brush and vegetation to clear, forestry mulching may be the best option. This method works well for relatively flat areas that don’t have many large rocks or mature trees to clear. Forestry mulching is a relatively quick process that improves soil health, reduces fire risk, and leaves behind usable mulch.

If you’re mulching in the fall, aim to lay down the material right after the first frost, which will vary by climate. Late October and early November are good time ranges to aim for. Try to lay down your mulch after a light rainfall to lock in moisture for root growth through the winter.

Yes, grounds count when calculating box fill. A single volume allowance is made when up to four equipment grounding conductors or equipment bonding jumpers enter the box. It’s important to account for all wires and fittings when calculating box fill. Beyond the first four, each additional grounding conductor should be counted as ¼ volume.
