Champs Exteriors and Seamless Gutters was established by Tom McIntosh in 2004, and has completed over 7,500 gutter projects in Eastern Wyoming, Western Nebraska and Northern Colorado. Why choose Champs? We pride ourselves with solving gutter problems, rather than just installing a standard gutter system. We like to see our customers say goodbye to icy sidewalks and driveways, unpleasing downspout placement aesthetics, rivers along your walkways, drainage into neighboring property, gutter clogging and overflow and more that plague homeowners and building owners. At Champs, we custom cut all inside and outside corners. Our custom corners do not leak like the prefabricated corners that many gutter companies use. Additionally, we know our job is not only to get the water out of your gutter system and into the downspouts, but to get the water away from your foundation and any neighboring property or foundation. We use an innovative way of installing fold-up extensions at the bottom of a downspout so it can fold up and down without falling off or loosening from the downspout. And, we use only 3x4 downspouts instead of the standard 2x3 downspouts because they allow for better drainage. No job is too big or too small for our crew, and we are used to traveling and working all around the tri-state area. Tom can very often complete an estimate over the phone. Tom requires no money down and expects no payment until the customer is satisfied with the workmanship performed, and he is very experienced with insurance claims. Tom and his crew like to say: We do the job right the first time... because the second time we don't get paid!

Gutter Repair and Replacement questions, answered by experts

In most cases, it makes more sense to repair leaking or damaged gutters than it will to replace them. You’ll spend an average of $400 to repair your gutters, while full replacement will cost around $2,000 or more, depending on the gutter material and style and the size of your home. If your gutters are nearing the end of their lifespan—usually around 20 years for aluminum or vinyl gutters or up to 50 years for copper or steel—then it might make sense to replace them, as it could cost you less in the long run.

Sagging gutters stress your downspout, so have your gutters fixed before you secure your downspout.

No—gutters should be designed and properly installed so they are ready to handle any level of rainflow from your roof. If you notice pooling water around your gutters or on the roof, it’s imperative that you contact a gutter repair pro near you—the slope of your gutters could be off and need adjusting.

Any small amount of standing water can be damaging to your gutters. It’s recommended that a ¼ inch puddle or more should be addressed. Failure to keep water from pooling in your gutters can result in clogs, algae growth, and pests that damage your gutters over time.

Yes, caulking or sealing your vinyl gutters is a good way to help prevent gutter leaks. When you’re installing gutters, it’s important to overlap the sections to help avoid issues like leaks or drips, but they can still happen. In this case, adding caulk can help. Make sure to use a caulk designed for multiple surfaces, like a silicone-based caulk. You can also purchase a gutter sealant as well, which is specifically designed for this purpose.
