"They did a great job. The only problem I had with them was we were scheduled for 1- 4pm that day, they had some sort of work emergency, they ended up getting to us at around 6pm . To reset your air conditioner, start by turning it off at the thermostat. Then, shut off power to the AC system at the circuit breaker. Some units have a dedicated "reset" button; if yours does, press and hold it for three to five seconds. If your air conditioner doesn't have a reset button, or if you are resetting it after a power outage, leave the circuit breaker off for at least 30 minutes to allow the system to reset itself. Afterward, turn the power back on at the breaker, turn on the AC from the thermostat, and set it to "cool" to test the system.

One of the fastest ways to unfreeze an AC unit is to turn off the unit and, if it’s warm outside, use the fan-only mode to help blow warmer air through the unit to speed up the defrosting process. While it may be tempting to use a hair dryer to defrost the air conditioner, that high heat can damage the coils.

After defrosting, if you can safely solve the issue with a fix like changing the filter, go ahead and do so. Otherwise, call in a pro before turning your AC back on.

If refrigerant levels are low, it can cause the evaporator coil to freeze up. Low freon causes a drop in pressure, which will make the coil too cold and cause moisture to freeze on the coil. Your system may be low on refrigerant because of a leak.
