"Brandon Chumley of Handyman Chumley, LLC is an amazing handyman! I would reccomend his work to anyone! He made my girls so happy with our Christmas lights on the house! I'll always call on Handyman Chumley for all my household needs! Thanks!"
"I never contacted the provider or used this service in anyway. I have to write this review so that the request to write this review stops popping up. The rating is bogus as it is required to be able to submit. "
"It was a very great experience. Cody was there when he said he would be and came within his bid amount and got my projects finished on time and wonderfully done. I would recommend him for your around the home projects. I’m going to get him to do more before he gets too busy. A number 1 contractor says what he will do and gets in done when promised"
"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me. Overall, they're good designs. However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning. I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging. Jill was very responsive when I did have a question. I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done. If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs. "
"Great! They did great work and very polite. Also kept the area very clean. They also found some of my siding on my house coming off and fixed that for nothing.. "
"Austin was committed to quality work and did whatever needed to be done to reach our satisfaction. He was courteous and thorough. He communicated any delays or reschedules accordingly. He even helped us find a contractor for u related project in our backyard. We would recommend."
"The work preformed was everything I expected and more. I needed new sheet rock and tape and texturing done in my garage due to water damage. Affordable and easy to work with as well as flexible hours. Will hire again for more projects."
Sheet metal garage doors, particularly steel and aluminum, have the cheapest materials and installation. Experienced homeowners may cut and shape the metal themselves; however, you can buy prefabricated metal from a hardware store or pay a metal fabricator to shape the metal to your specifications. Steel and aluminum garage doors can cost as little as $500 and go up to $3,000.
There should not be any visible gaps between the garage door and frame. If the gap is big enough that you can either see daylight or feel a draft, this indicates a problem. Bring in a garage door professional to help you discover why the gap exists. A pro may also be able to offer suggestions for how to insulate a garage.
If your garage door seems to freeze every winter, you can try rubbing silicone spray or petroleum jelly around the edges and rollers of the garage door. However, it’s a good idea to avoid direct application of silicone sprays like WD40 to rubber edges, which could damage them over time. A garage door that frequently freezes shut could need a full replacement, especially if it’s showing signs of rust or other wear and tear.
Just like any other part of your home, hurricane garage doors need regular maintenance to stay in top shape. This ensures they function optimally during storms and provide the protection you need.
You can do some basic maintenance yourself, like cleaning the tracks and lubricating the moving parts. It's as simple as using a mild detergent and water to clean the tracks and applying a silicone-based lubricant to the hardware. However, for more in-depth maintenance and inspections, it's a good idea to call in the professionals to identify any potential problems and fix them before they become more significant issues.
There are three ways to open the garage door when the power is out. One is to invest in a solar panel and battery system or generator backup power. Another method is to use the quick-release key to disconnect the garage door from the garage door opener. You can also use the key to your house to wait out the power outage and reset the garage door opener once the power returns.
If your garage door key is inside your home and you don’t have a spare key on hand to access your entry points, then call a locksmith.
