"I cannot say enough good  things about this company or the team that we worked with to completely re-carpet our entire home.  We have a large one level house on the water and the carpet was horrible by the time we finally got around to getting new flooring.  Sarah came out to the house with a ton of samples and walked through the benefits of each.  Knowing the type of wear and tear that the floors take, and that we were not ready to invest in hardwoods, we decided on carpeting throughout.  She was able to schedule the crew at a time that worked well for us and they were absolutely fantastic!  The crew was always on time, bright and early, and tore out the old flooring and installed the new faster than I thought possible - all with lots of smiles on their faces.  Honestly loved the experience, love the end result - and I don't think I've EVER said that about another contractor!

"George arrived on time, went right to work and finished in a timely manner. My carpets look so much better. I was skeptical about some of the stained areas, but they cleaned really well. I'm very happy with the result."

Carpet Installation FAQs, answered by experts

In Wilmington, new carpet enhances home comfort by providing insulation against coastal temperature changes and reducing noise—ideal for busy neighborhoods. Modern carpets with moisture-resistant and hypoallergenic features help manage humidity and allergens, making homes healthier. Quality installation also protects against sand and dampness from the beach, while boosting energy efficiency and overall home value for Wilmington residents.

Helpful?

In Wilmington, persistent musty smells, damp carpet edges, or dark stains often point to underlying moisture issues that can quickly escalate. If you notice your carpet buckling, rippling, or pulling away from the walls, it may signal subfloor or tack strip problems. Squeaky floors or uneven wear are also red flags—addressing these early can help you avoid more extensive repairs down the line.

Helpful?

In Wilmington, homeowners are gravitating toward low-pile, stain-resistant carpets in neutral tones like sandy beige and driftwood gray to complement the coastal aesthetic. Durable Berber and loop pile styles are favored for their ability to hide sand and withstand heavy foot traffic. Moisture-resistant backings and antimicrobial treatments are especially sought after, helping carpets stand up to NC’s humidity and frequent beach outings.

Helpful?

In Wilmington, most single-room carpet installations are completed within 4-6 hours, while multi-room projects can take 1-2 days. Whole-home installations may require 2-4 days, especially if acclimation to humidity is needed. Seasonal factors like hurricane season or spring demand can extend timelines. Additional steps such as subfloor preparation, furniture moving, and old flooring removal may also add to the overall duration.

Helpful?

In Wilmington, start by letting your new carpet acclimate to the local humidity for at least 48 hours. Use a moisture meter to check that your subfloor is dry—ideally below 12% moisture. For small wrinkles, gently use a knee kicker on a dry day, and repair minor seams with seam tape in a well-ventilated space. Always inspect for dampness to prevent future mold growth.
