I'd tried to fix the toilet myself and failed so I called a plumber and also had him look at my garbage disposal which hadn't worked in a year. We discussed it and I decided to have him take out the disposal and rerout the drain. Works fine. He fixed both the drain and toilet in less than 45 minutes.
