"I hired this tree service and they came out exactly when we came up with a time and date...They were VERY professional all the way and his workers also were extremely nice and professional. This was the very first tree service I ever had and they got a very dangerous tree down with no problems...I got LOTS of tree's that still need coming down and I WILL be calling them back again for those services....They were reasonable and I would recommend them...They are the best in my eye!!. thank you!! for your help and service!!"

"Holly Forest Tree Service did a large project for me to include trimming out trees so they would not hit the house in one of these high-wind storms, thinning out two huge monkey pine trees, trimming bushes, removing a small tree, and removing a huge old walnut tree. The reason for removing the walnut tree was it was starting to rot in the middle and I was afraid it would fall onto the small one-way bridge located right next to it and cause severe damage. This bridge is the only ingress and egress for several homes in the neighborhood and having the bridge out of service for even one day would be a nightmare for a lot of people. The workers did not mess around and they worked from the time they got here until the time they left (with a short lunch period). I never saw them sitting idly by or stopping to chat or talk on their cell phone. They have a strong work ethic and did an exemplary clean up job. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for tree service."

"Aaron Thomas came out to help our family get our cat out of a very high tree! He came out right away, was very caring and professional. He made quick work of safely retrieving our cat from the very top of a skinny tree. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needed tree services and will be using him again!"

"Want to give huge shoutout to Los Amigos Tree Service and Landscaping for coming out today. My grandparents home has been neglected over the years due to poor health. With my grandfathers recent passing I wanted to bring their home back to life. Starting with the outside. Their house was barely visible from the road. After Hilda and her crew came out and did everything I asked my grandparents home finally looks like it has life again. If you are looking for hard-working dependable people call on them. ?They are quick, responsive ?and professional."

"They were on time. The price seemed very fair for the hard work that was done. The project looks great. These men inspected the job, estimated the cost, scheduled the work, and came and knocked it all out in four days. They removed the existing RR Tie Stairs, and then, cut new installed them with rebar, and cleaned up the site. Looks fantastic. Highly recommend."

"I spoke with Virgil about a limb that was hanging over my house and I was concerned about the upcoming ice storm causing it to fall onto my home. He came out quickly, sawed off the limb, and didn't charge me anything. While he was here I had him look at some other trees and he gave me an estimate on taking these down. As soon as the weather clears and it is safe to be here, I will let him know. I would recommend him highly, he answers his text messages and phone calls promptly, and strives to do a good job for you. I'm glad I have met him."

"These guys did a great job! As soon as I put the post out that I need work done, Scott called me immediately and was on site to look at the job first thing the very next morning. He gave me a fair estimate and was a very nice guy! I honestly had other quotes that were cheaper than these guys, but their prompt response is what got them the job! Now that I’ve seen their work, they will be getting a call whenever I might need something else done, or if I have a friend in need of work as well. I highly recommend them!! Thanks again guys!!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Late winter is ideal, but if you’re pruning apple trees in the spring, prune them as early as possible in the season. You want to ensure your tree is just creeping out of dormancy and hasn’t started pushing out new growth. If you prune your tree too late into spring, you generally won’t see results until the following year.

That said, there’s no pruning season for unhealthy growth. Remove dead, dying, or diseased branches as soon as you notice them, regardless of the time of year.

Cutting down a tree next to power lines is never a DIY job, and it’s a good idea to contact your utility company first. In most cases, the utility company will need to take care of any tree problems within 10 to 15 feet of power lines. If you want to remove the tree for aesthetic reasons, hire a pro to do the job. Trying to cut trees near power lines yourself can create many safety hazards, and you could be liable if you inadvertently cause damage to electrical equipment.

Palm trees aren’t much different than your typical tree removal. Removing a palm tree is a standard procedure as long as pros have the proper tools and supplies. For DIYers, however, there are some risks associated with palm tree removal. Palm trees have spiky fronds, bark, and patches of hefty wood. So, it’s best to let an experienced tree service pro remove a palm tree.

When a palm tree no longer produces new fronds and old fronds start turning yellow-brown, that’s a sign the tree is dying. However, transplanted palm trees can show these signs for the first several months as they re-establish themselves. It’s best to keep watering and not give up on the palm tree until a couple of seasons have passed and you’re sure it’s not coming back to life.

The exact answer to this question depends on which region of the country you’re talking about, but according to various tree counts, some of the most common types of trees in the United States include red maple, Douglas fir, quaking aspen, loblolly pine, and sweetgum.
