"Holly Forest Tree Service did a large project for me to include trimming out trees so they would not hit the house in one of these high-wind storms, thinning out two huge monkey pine trees, trimming bushes, removing a small tree, and removing a huge old walnut tree. The reason for removing the walnut tree was it was starting to rot in the middle and I was afraid it would fall onto the small one-way bridge located right next to it and cause severe damage. This bridge is the only ingress and egress for several homes in the neighborhood and having the bridge out of service for even one day would be a nightmare for a lot of people. The workers did not mess around and they worked from the time they got here until the time they left (with a short lunch period). I never saw them sitting idly by or stopping to chat or talk on their cell phone. They have a strong work ethic and did an exemplary clean up job. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for tree service."

"Franco & his crew are great! This is the 2nd time they have helped get our 1 acre yard under control. They hauled way 3 big dump truck loads of debris they removed from our yard. They also removed several dead trees & cleaned the algae/moss off the roof. Truly great work. Dependable, honest, & affordable too!"

"The retaining wall looks great and all my neighbors agree. We were not home during the 4 day project but were kept abreast of the installation. Our neighbors said it looked like a bomb went off with the tearing out of old wall, the materials, the equipment etc but after 4 days you'd never know they were even there except we had a beautiful new wall. They went above and beyond ensuring the surrounding area looked fantastic. Would highly recommend them for their quality work."

I own my truck and a 7'x16'x4' dump trailer. Will haul supplies, yard waste, construction waste, scrap metal. Deliver mulch, rock, sand, soil, etc. Just ask I'll haul it. Soon to own small mini excavator for pickup and drop-off. Will be able to get close to homes with small excavator for dumping and distributing sand, soil, rock for driveways. Move small equipment, trailers or whatever you can fit in my dump trailer. $625.00 4 tons #78 rock for driveways delivered in Franklin area. covers 400 sq ft 1" thick. 800 sq ft 2" thick.\nDriveway incline getting you stuck. Look at plastic grid for slopes, helps keep rock from washout. pricing based on sq ft.

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In most ways, palm trees are incredibly low-maintenance. They don’t need a ton of water—which is why they’re so beloved in desert regions—and they basically prune themselves. But they do need an ample supply of sunlight and to be in soil that will allow for proper drainage so that their roots don’t become waterlogged and at risk of developing illnesses.

If the plant begins to wilt, develop spots, or change color, these could all be signs that your palm tree has a disease. But a few basic treatments, like pruning and applying fungicide, will usually be more than enough to return it to perfect health.

Tree experts don’t advise against digging through tree roots, but instead encourage caution and consultation with a local arborist to make sure you don’t damage the tree’s structure or interrupt its water or nutrient intake. An arborist can recommend specific practices when digging and help prune the roots or dig a trench for utilities with a tool that can remove soil without touching the tree’s roots.

If it’s only a smaller branch that has died and you’re keeping an eye on the tree, it’s probably nothing to worry about. But if other nearby branches start dying off as well, or a very large branch dies, then you likely have a bigger problem. It’s time to watch for diseases and other problems and possibly get professional guidance on how to proceed.

Yes, forestry mulching can grind stumps, but the level of effectiveness depends on the equipment used. Drum mulchers can break down smaller stumps, but larger or deep-rooted stumps may require a dedicated stump grinder for complete removal. If full stump removal is necessary for replanting or construction, additional excavation may be needed. Always check with your forestry mulching provider to confirm whether they offer stump grinding and if their equipment is suitable for your specific needs.

You need to remove all branches affected by Dutch elm disease. If your tree has several affected branches, you will probably need to remove the entire tree. First, consult a pro to be sure that you’ve correctly identified it as an elm tree. Make sure the tree is properly disposed of with a plastic covering or through debarking, chipping, or burning.
