"Great honest contractors. They did my bathrooms, hot water heater, unclogged my house drain and they did a French drain so my basement is not wet anymore. I already hired them to do my whole roof in the spring. I will hire them anytime."

Small jobs welcome

I have spent most of my life working in the maintenance and labor fields. Doing manual labor in many different positions from minor mechanic work to building fences and working on semi trucks. I am your go to handy man and DIYer. I thrive on being able to fix something, or at least learning how. I have a degree in Network Administration and Cyber Security, a field I stumbled into and have loved ever since. In my day to day tasks I look for ways to improve efficiency. I enjoy the great outdoors, volunteering to help others, and keeping myself busy. I grew up as a Military brat, and the many travels and exposure to different cultures have helped shape me into the well rounded person I am today.

"I had massive tree damage after a snow storm and a limited time frame in which to get it taken care of. TK showed up when he said he would and each day explained what he would accomplish that day. His work was methodical and precise. He kindly advised me of what needed to be done, and just as importantly, what did not need to be done. He was able to finish all the work within the timeframe allotted even though he was battling bad weather conditions. He was professional, friendly and polite, and he even put up with my puppy who had a serious crush on him. The work that TK did was difficult and dangerous, but he did a beautiful job. He always made sure that he cleaned up his work areas nicely. He also did some carpentry for me and that was perfect. I will be using TKâ s skills again very soon for interior repairs in my home. His attention to details is phenomenal. TK is an asset to the neighborhood and will be quite busy because of referrals from us happy clients."

Window Treatments questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can remove window tint from house windows. You can either use heat to loosen the film before peeling or scrape it away with a blade. You’ll also use a solution to wipe away any adhesive that still clings to the window.

Typically, triple-pane windows made with krypton gas filling are the most energy efficient. A window’s frame, glass, design, and installation all affect its energy efficiency. These windows, in particular, are designed highly effectively in terms of their ability to insulate.

Yes, you can always make an existing window bigger, but the job complexity varies widely depending on the location of the window and the framing around it. Exterior walls are always load-bearing, so making windows wider will require structural changes that make for a more complex but doable project. Making windows taller often won’t require structural changes.

No, not every window has movable sashes. Many fixed or stationary windows that were intended only to provide views and sunlight still have inoperable sashes that allow them to match the rest of the windows in a home. These are called sash-set fixed windows. They are created by glazing a window into a sash that is secured to a frame.

Yes, home appraisers look at your windows when appraising your property to determine the market value of your home. They’ll factor in the type of windows, quality, condition, whether or not there are screens covering the windows, frame materials, size, insulation, and more to come up with an unbiased property assessment.
