"Excellent! Service was professional from beginning to end. Careful with furniture and the moving of cleaning equipment throughout my home. Baseboards and ceiling fans were immaculate in each room. The cleaner was respectful and respected my space as I was present due to working from home. Well worth the cost. I will definitely be using them again."

"I would agree with the previous reviews regarding the lack of communication with the owner. The price was great for the value but I would caution not to pay in advance. Work- good // Customer service- Needs improvement"

Small jobs welcome

"Kia & Pedro cleaned my space within an inch of it's life. They offered such a genuine, caring approach. I absolutely recommend them 1,000,000%. I've hired a LOT of cleaning/organizing professionals and services and I've definitely found my ideal match in King & Queen Cleaning. I have already hired them for ongoing service and I can't wait to see them again. They communicated effectively and with compassion through the entire experience. My children loved them and commented that the house has never been cleaner. For reference, my place was absolutely trashed when they came in. ( I had been in a depression funk for over a year.). After having them in my space for a few hours, i feel like a whole new person. We're all breathing easier (they tackled some dangerous mold), we're all feeling lighter. They offered a a more than fair quote and over-delivered on the experience. I keep calling it an experience because it was this whole amazing, life-affirming experience. Seriously, hire Queen & King Cleaning, you won't regret it!!!"

Drapery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

There are several ways to store clothes properly and keep them smelling good. You can keep clothing in a climate-controlled closet for best results, but if this isn’t in your budget, there are many DIY solutions. From using air freshener sprays to keeping a box of baking soda in the closet, you can eliminate unwanted odors. Always store clean, dry clothes in the closet to minimize odors.

Most cleaning services take 2-5 days, allowing for thorough dry cleaning, steaming, or hand washing as needed.

Window treatments fall under the categories of hard, soft, and layered. Hard refers to stiff, formed treatments that include window blinds and shutters. Soft refers to cloth window treatments that include drapes and curtains. Finally, layered refers to the combination of soft and hard treatments. For example, you might place flowing drapes over blinds to combine the practicality of a treatment that blocks the sun with the whimsical and elongating aesthetic of a full-window drape.

You should avoid using a pressure washer on any surface or item that could be damaged by the high-pressure spray, as some materials are too delicate to withstand the force.

Key items and surfaces to avoid include:

  • Electrical Components: Never pressure wash electrical systems, as water can cause short-circuits and create a safety hazard. This includes utility meters, breaker boxes, electrical outlets, generators, and HVAC or air conditioner units.

  • Delicate and Fragile Materials: Fragile items can crack, shatter, or be stripped by the pressure. Avoid pressure washing windows, glass, light fixtures, shingled roofs (especially asphalt), and stucco.

  • Painted, Stained, or Sealed Surfaces: Unless your goal is to strip the finish, do not pressure wash painted surfaces, stained wood (like decks), or anything with a protective seal that could be stripped away. Be especially cautious with older surfaces that may contain lead paint.

  • Soft Woods and Certain Decking: Delicate surfaces like softwood, composite decking, and antique or wooden patio furniture can be etched or damaged. If you must wash wood, use a lower-powered pressure washer with a wide-angle nozzle to prevent damage.

  • Living Things: Never use a pressure washer on people, pets, or plants. The force can cause serious injury and will destroy landscaping.

You can clean curtains without washing them by vacuuming them and then steam cleaning or having them dry cleaned. When vacuuming, use a soft brush attachment if you’re working with a heartier material, like cotton or polyester. You can spot-treat stains with a stain remover after vacuuming, and then use a steam cleaner to clean the curtains from top to bottom. You can also bring them to a dry cleaner to have odors, dirt, stains, and allergens removed without washing them.
