"The entire team at Ventura Tree Services was excellent. The crew arrived at 8am and worked until 5:30pm, cleaning out fallen trees, huge piles of leaves and overgrown shrubs. They were professional, very hard-working and changed an overgrown property into a cleared-out backyard. They took down dead trees and removed dozens of fallen branches and debris. I highly recommend them for their knowledge of what had to go and what was healthy, their dedication to doing a very thorough job, and how clean they left the area. I am hiring again for other projects!"

"We too had an excellent experience with Triad. These guys really are the best. Professional, punctual, courteous and extremely skilled. I contacted them Thursday morning, had an estimate from them that afternoon, and they had a full crew out here hard at work the next day. Performed difficult tree removal in a very tight spot. They're exactly what you want in a tree service."

"I hired Yates for aeration/overseed services. Bret was great - talked on Tuesday and the work was done on Thursday. Their Stinger equipment had a dense pattern and took deep plugs even though it was slightly dry. I highly recommend."

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

A professional land surveyor ensures accurate property boundaries and prevent legal disputes.

With proper training and experience, reading blueprints is fairly straightforward and not very difficult. If you don’t have the necessary knowledge to interpret the symbols, abbreviations, and other notations used, blueprints may not make sense. Learning to read blueprints can help you understand the construction process and keep you more involved and informed when you’re building a house.

Land surveys don’t technically expire. They do serve as a point of reference and a snapshot of your property, though, so as soon as you make changes to your property (and even if your neighbor makes certain changes to theirs), your existing land survey becomes inaccurate, and a new one must be done. Even if you don’t make any changes to your property, many states only guarantee the accuracy of a land survey for five to ten years.

Costs vary, but you can expect to spend between $1,000 and $4,000 to prepare land for a mobile home or before you build a house. You’ll need to clear enough land for the foundation, which may require leveling or grading, as well as removing trees, stumps, and plants. Don’t forget to plan for permits and fees and the installation of a gas line, water line, and sewer main.

If you can’t find any records online, you’ll need to contact your county clerk’s office to do further research. They should have property records on file, or can at least point you in the right direction of who to contact. You can also speak with your neighbors about when their houses were built because they were likely built around the same time.
