"Very well-they were quick & for most part were able to do the majority of the work from the outside. They arrived very early & spent all day (ended roughly around 4?-didn't check the time) *there were close to 30 windows, one specialty window that a 2 man team installed. They asked that we move everything away from the windows to avoid any damages. Advised us to avoid putting items back for at least 24 hours to allow the seals to set properly. They arrived before I was fully awake-they want to get it done in 1 day! Would advise that you set your alarm early!"

"This review is specifically for William R., Calvin P., and Terrence A. They installed a new drain in our crawl space and installed a new vapor barrier. They were on time and very professional."

"I hired Matt Ford to build a large roof over my existing back porch and dog kennel. He kept me informed of the status of the permit and construction throughout the process. The quality of the roof exceeded expectations and Matt was cordial and professional throughout the entire project."

"We are extremely happy with how our new windows and new front door turned out. After some unexpected challenges with the way our home was built, our installation crew quickly and efficiently adapted to make sure our windows and door were installed with expert care. Every time we see our new beautiful picture window we are left breathless! And our beautiful front door is the perfect upgrade for the look of our home. Thank you RBA!"

"I was given Mike’s number to look at replacing glass in fogged windows. We ended up having him replace a few windows and he did an excellent job. After learning that he was a trim carpenter, we had him do that and re built a stairwell and I couldn’t be happier. Very detail oriented and the quality of work is excellent!"

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Most bathroom mirrors last 10 to 15 years with regular maintenance. The actual lifespan is determined by the quality of the mirror, its materials, the way it was hung, and the overall ventilation and humidity level in your bathroom. Meanwhile, LED bathroom mirrors tend to have a lifespan of 30,000 to 50,000 hours.

You can use a commercial water repellent treatment for glass on your shower doors to prevent water spots. Take care to only apply the product to glass. Letting air circulate also helps prevent water spots, as water is less likely to remain on the glass for a long time with good air circulation. Run your vent fan, open a window, and leave the shower door open for about half an hour after using the shower.

Yes, it is possible to replace only the glass pane in a window without replacing the entire frame. However, this is a complex task that is best handled by a window repair professional. A technician can safely cut the seal, remove the old glass, install the new pane, and ensure it is properly sealed. For double-pane windows, this process involves creating a vacuum between the panes and filling it with insulative gas to restore the window's energy efficiency. Hiring a professional also ensures you select the right type of glass for your needs. This repair is almost always more affordable than replacing the entire window and frame.

Cutting glass yourself can be dangerous, as the edges are sharp and can easily cause lacerations if you’re not careful. Working with larger pieces of glass is especially dangerous, as they can be cumbersome and difficult to handle without shattering. If you’re uncomfortable doing the work yourself, you can hire a professional to get the job done safely.

The easiest way for DIYers to smooth the edges of cut glass is to use sandpaper. Wearing protective gloves, gently sand the sharp edges smooth using low-grit sandpaper and working up to high-grit sandpaper. You can also use a multitool with a rotating sandpaper cylinder to make quicker work of the project.
