"They did very well and I am extremely pleased with their work. They did such a wonderful job. They came back to pick up the woods and they did not leave any mess and the porch is very firm and fine. The flowers are gorgeous."

"Junior Green and his Clean Hands Painting and Construction crew did an excellent job saving our screened in porch. We had a contractor who had spent 11 months (yes 11 months) installing a screened in porch and he was simply not able to finish the job. We became fed up and found Junior and he was promptly out to review the work and recommend how to fix it. He was able to correct all of the issues with standard construction practices that our last contractor ignored. He made sure that the screened porch was redesigned to protect against water and last for the long term without issues every few years from water damage. In addition to his knowledge of good construction practice he also made our porch look beautiful. Hats off to Junior and his crew for amazing construction work as well as stepping in and redesigning our porch for beauty and longevity. --Doug Young"

"They did beautiful work. However, lady in office does not answer phone or return calls. Deck was finished June 1, and I’ve been trying to schedule sealing the deck since September (this is December). Finally, finally got through and made appointment for December 3 for the estimate and have not heard from or seen anybody. Have finally hired somebody else. I do not recommend dealing with this company. The responsiveness issue was also a problem in the beginning trying to get the initial work scheduled. Dealing with them is extremely frustrating."

"I recently had the pleasure of working with Hughes Builders and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, their team was professional, courteous, and timely in completing the project. They added a beautiful deck and railing to my home that has truly transformed my outdoor living space. Their attention to detail and craftsmanship is outstanding. I was particularly impressed with their ability to work within my budget without sacrificing quality. I highly recommend Hughes Builders for any home renovation project and I look forward to working with them again in the future."

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

To make the gazebo accessible, you can build a wheelchair pathway leading up to it. The path should be paved with a smooth surface for wheelchairs to roll through. A low curb should be placed along each side to ensure the wheelchair stays on the path. At the end of the path, build a wheelchair ramp connecting the gazebo.

Log cabins are relatively difficult to maintain compared to a traditional house. That’s because log cabins require regular upkeep and care that can include refinishing and corncob blasting, a process similar to sandblasting that shoots ground-up corncob with compressed air.

Professionals ensure safe, thorough repairs using quality materials, extending the life of your structure.

Porticos last 25 to 60 years, depending on the material used. A portico’s roof typically matches the roof of the rest of the home and can be replaced simultaneously. Portico columns have a similar life span if properly maintained and regularly sealed. In some areas, harsh weather and extreme temperatures may cause a portico to wear more quickly.

On average, building or installing a gazebo costs around $5,700, with a typical range between $3,000 and $10,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. Material choice is a significant cost driver; for example, brick is often more affordable, while metal can be one of the more expensive options. Square-shaped gazebos can also be more expensive to build. Custom features, such as built-in seating or lighting, will increase the total price. You may be able to save money by purchasing a prefabricated gazebo kit or performing some of the labor yourself.
