"Within 2 months there were a couple of areas where the epoxy came loose. Within the nex 8-9 months 15-20 sections had issues. Sent a couple of pictures and called 3 times about getting it fixed. Neil would say when I get the color paint he would be out to repair. He has never showed up to date."

Yes. A septic tank riser is meant to replace a septic tank cover—concrete, metal, fiberglass, or otherwise—while still allowing easy access to the opening of the tank. Just as you would need to be mindful of the septic tank lid when it comes to mowing the lawn or other yard usage, you’ll have to be cautious not to damage or otherwise disrupt the septic tank riser.

You can pour concrete over asphalt if it’s in good condition, thick, stable, and well-compacted. Concrete is more durable than asphalt and can extend the lifetime of your driveway without having to pay frequent asphalt driveway repair costs or replace it completely. 

But this is best reserved as a temporary solution based on budget restraints, as asphalt requires more frequent repairs and assessments than concrete. Once that concrete top is poured, it’ll be harder to accurately understand what’s happening beneath that layer, which could lead to more issues.

Dry pour concrete cures in the same amount of time as wet pour concrete, so you’re looking at four to six hours for it to harden, 24 to 48 hours before you can remove forms and expose the slab to foot traffic, a week before it can stand up to vehicle traffic, and about a month for it to be fully cured.

You should put gravel that is 3/4 to 1 inch under a concrete slab. However, depending on the project, local building codes may dictate the proper gravel size and shape. Some concrete slabs that do not hold significant weight may have a subbase of sand. Also, keep in mind that the subbase you choose will affect the cost of your concrete patio, walkway, or driveway.
