"I needed a ton of work done and they completed it all ! They went above and beyond my expectations. I was informed and updated through the entire process and was given options to choose from and really customized everything to make it exactly like I wanted. The whole crew was extremely nice, polite and worked really hard. Iâ ll definitely use them again for my upcoming project!"

"Amanda was really very good!  At first I was very skeptical, thinking why did I pay money to just speak with someone on the phone about my kitchen remodel project... but after just a few minutes of her addressing some of the issues/questions I emailed to her earlier, I knew it was worth it.  It was very clear that she knew her business and she gave me several ideas that I had not even thought about.  I told her that I would definitely recommend her to friends and I will very likely use her again myself for my next home project!

"Not too good ! The workers were good . The owner Matt promised that the work would be completed in 2 weeks still not done as of today 01/13/2024 ,it has been one excuse after another on 11/22/24 needed to install the new shutters, he promised and gave his word and a hand shake , so we paid in full on 11/22/24 , cause we were going out of town for a bit , thought I was doing good but it has hit me hard , still not done as of today 1/13/24 . Numerous lies , he said we will get them this week , and was told on 4 ( Tex messages)different occasions that the shutters were either delivered or had picked them up . Also the main reason we went with a metal roof we had a roof leak and wanted it stopped it was on our back porch in the center of the back door , it leaks worse now than ever before , was also promised that it would be fixed (not fixed ).1 light fixture not fixed .asked for 6” gutters got 5” I am ok with the 5”gutters, and only got 6 down spouts asked and paid for 8 down spouts (have 8 points or the house , need 1 down spout per point .the siding looks good except the light fixture and outside water spicket should have new mounting blocks, they have the old ones still that do not match . ( 1 is broken 2 don’t have one ).2 places on the front porch needs to be fixed where it all should be wrapped in black metal it look bad. I don’t like being lied too and taken advantage of , all I wanted was to get this work done and not cut corners, for the money I paid it should have been done more professionally."

"We needed a complete rebuild of our deck. We not only wanted a new deck but a new technology in decking that would allow for a water shedding deck, So we we requested DuxxBak product and we wanted steel rebar installed horizontal to give our cabin a rustic robust finish and secure railings. David and his team exceeded all of our expectations and their workmanship is beyond compare! If you need a deck builder look no further than David and his team!"

Basement Remodel questions, answered by experts

In addition to overseeing new home builds, construction managers work on large renovations and major remodels. For example, they may work with designers and oversee the construction of a finished basement, kitchen renovation, or a home addition. They may also oversee large-scale remodels, such as the update of a historic home. Construction managers step into small projects for more specific assistance, such as building budgets and compiling the team.

Roughing in and connecting utilities are the hardest parts of finishing a basement, and they’re the parts we typically don’t recommend doing as a DIY project. Unfortunately, your finishing timeline can be extended by weeks while you wait for contractors and inspectors to install electrical wiring, plumbing lines, and heating/cooling equipment and carry out inspections.

The average cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400. Depending on the project's complexity, the price can be as low as $3,500 or exceed $50,200. For a simple project like adding a home office, you might spend between $500 and $3,000. However, a more extensive project, such as adding a bathroom, can range from $6,600 to $16,500. The final cost is influenced by factors like the basement's size and condition, the type of remodel, material choices, your location, and accessibility. For an accurate price, it's best to consult with a basement remodeling team.

Kitchens and bathrooms are typically the most expensive rooms to renovate. The high cost is due to several factors, including expensive appliances like ranges, hoods, and refrigerators, as well as costly fixtures. The 'bones' of the room, such as electrical and plumbing, are also expensive to move or replace. Because of the vast amount of prep work, finishing, and specialized labor involved in a relatively small footprint, these projects can cost double or more than a living space remodel. Even when trying to renovate on a budget, kitchens and bathrooms will likely carry a hefty price tag.

Yes, it is possible to turn a regular basement into a walkout basement. Doing so involves excavating the land around at least one side of your basement foundation, installing retaining walls to create a permanent below-grade area outside your home, and then cutting into the foundation to install an exterior door that leads out to the new space. This is an expensive and time-consuming project, but it can add a lot of value and utility to your home.
