Webster Landscaping is owned and operated by Sean Webster. He graduated from the College of DuPage in Glenn Ellyn, Illinois with a degree in horticulture and applied science. Later, in 1991 Sean started up Webster landscaping which specializes in commercial and residential landscaping design, installation and maintenance.

"Met with Sean in 2013. It took till September 2014 for them to start. You will have to wait on them. Well worth the wait. Their professionalism was far above others. The crew showed up on time. We had them put in 6 full grown green giants. They moved 3 Crepe Myrtles and added other flowers in addition to uplighting around the Brenda. New fireplace (built from the ground up) and a 400 sq. Ft. Patio. Since this time, they have come out and done several other projects. When they were finished, they fixed the yard and put down seed and straw. Excellent service. I trust Sean and his team 100%. The last time he was out was March 2023 adding more uplighting."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

You can use normal bricks as cladding for a concrete or clay pizza oven or as a base underneath one. Fire bricks or solid clay bricks are necessary for an outdoor pizza oven’s floor, and you can use clay bricks for the rest of the oven.

If you’re looking for a cost-effective alternative to a traditional chimney, consider having a dummy chimney installed. Dummy chimneys can either be aesthetic-only or fully functional and can be installed on both new and older homes. Whether installed to match your neighborhood’s aesthetic or to vent your chimney, dummy chimneys are made out of a Glass-Reinforced Plastic (GRP) core, then covered with brick or stone slips to look like a traditional chimney.

Yes, capped chimneys should still be vented. Failing to vent a chimney will result in condensation buildup inside the chimney, which commonly results in mold growth. If mold begins to grow in a chimney, it frequently goes undetected and spreads quickly through the home. Mold and moisture can damage the structural integrity of your home, and exposure to mold can cause discomfort and illness in residents.

Common issues include creosote buildup, blocked flues, and masonry degradation, all potential safety hazards.

A fireplace hearth is necessary in most areas per building codes, especially for gas and wood-burning fireplaces. Electric fireplaces may not require a hearth, so check local building codes or ask a pro for guidance if you’re leaning toward electric. A fireplace hearth can decrease the risk of flying embers creating a fire and burning your home down. That’s why fireproof material, like tile, is used for the hearth.
