When I had him do lighting work for me, he took the money and never completed the work. He disappeared for months, swore to send me a check for reimbursement for the work that was paid for and then disappeared. He never provided written quotes or receipts for work, and requested payment be made in cash. Avoid at all costs."

You can also paint the floor, although that’s a labor-intensive job if you want to go the DIY route.

However, whether an individual carpet gets recycled is up to the flooring company that removes it.
