The handyman called me on the 25th to tell me Chubby would be calling me to tell me that they would be here the next day between 9 and 9:30- never received a call but they did show up the next day in that time slot with a unmarked van and did not even identify themselves or that they were from Chubbys- ok no big deal. I showed them where the carpet was that had been pulled up and where it was to go with a reminder that the floors needed to be screwed down so they do not squeak before the carpet and vinyl was put down. Their comment to me was that they did not know about that but would nail the floors down which I told them was not acceptable. They went off to get some screws and when they finished they asked me to take a look at the floor. Better but still some squeaks. Their comment was that they loaded the floor up with screws and went to get some more screws and did not ask me to look at the floor until the carpet had been put back down. The bathroom was pretty much the same thing. I don't know if or how many screws were used but they used a nail gun to put down thirty or so nails or stales which ever they were using. Again not what was agreed to. They did not ask me to look at the floor until the vinyl was down. The first step I took into the room it squeaked and their comment was they did the best they could do. I contracted to fix the floor not to do the best one could do. Both floors are better but still squeak and I am not satisfied in the least and will never recommend or use this company again. I brought these problems to the attention of the handyman who said he would speak to Chubby who I have not heard from.
