We had a contractor who had spent 11 months (yes 11 months) installing a screened in porch and he was simply not able to finish the job. We became fed up and found Junior and he was promptly out to review the work and recommend how to fix it. He was able to correct all of the issues with standard construction practices that our last contractor ignored. He made sure that the screened porch was redesigned to protect against water and last for the long term without issues every few years from water damage. In addition to his knowledge of good construction practice he also made our porch look beautiful. "They did beautiful work. However, lady in office does not answer phone or return calls. Deck was finished June 1, and I’ve been trying to schedule sealing the deck since September (this is December). Finally, finally got through and made appointment for December 3 for the estimate and have not heard from or seen anybody. Have finally hired somebody else. I do not recommend dealing with this company. The responsiveness issue was also a problem in the beginning trying to get the initial work scheduled. Dealing with them is extremely frustrating."

"These are the only pictures that I could find but they took a deck that was falling off my house and created my dream deck complete with covered porch. They have done siding, floors, trim work, doors, and a lot more for us! They actually fixed work that another company did and messed up!! I wouldn’t have anyone else but Ferguson work on my home!!! "The initial start date was delayed by a couple of weeks since he was backlogged.  They did a good job of removing the old landscaping and overgrown ivy.  The stone walls were well done and the work went fairly well.  There were a few problems with broken irrigation pipes and cut wires but all those issues were taken care and were back to working well.  There was also a broken shutter that took over 4 weeks to get replaced but that was also taken care of.
The real issue I had was with the original quote and price that I agreed too.  I was offered to reduce the quoted price by $250, which I agreed to but there was no mention of reducing the number of plants in the landscape design.  When I went over the list of plants on my design with the final job, there were 4 plants that were missing and Billy stated that those had been removed from the original design which added up to the $250.  I told him that I had no idea that the plants were removed, there was no update to the landscape plans to indicate the removal.  He offered to add the plants for an additional charge which I declined.  I told him that I was not pleased with this surprise and he apologized for the issue but could not add the plants at no charge.
I know he had a lot of issues with his staff and salesman but I cannot recommend him based on my experience.

We recently purchased a 2nd home on Lake James with an exterior that is 100% cedar.  The exterior was in serious need of cleaning and re-staining.  It had not been maintained; and, had a significant amount of mold staining and several areas of the trim had the original finish peeling off.

We contracted with Mike and Crystal to prep and re-stain the exterior of our home.  Throughout the process, Mike demonstrated thoroughness, competency and responsibility.  Mike and Crystal took personal responsibility to ensure they delivered a quality product.  Mike kept his commitments and did not compromise his work product even when faced with the stripping process taking more time than he expected.  He completed the project per the schedule he committed.

Mike demonstrated a high attention to detail in the finishing process and ensured the project was completed to my satisfaction.  The home looks beautiful...we could not be happier.

I solicited bids from several paint contractors and evaluated several before selecting Mike.  His pricing was very competitive versus several other contractors; but, I never observed where Mike cut corners.

I would definitely recommend MIke's Painting and will plan to use Mike again when we have painting needs.
