Small jobs welcome

"The job they did was quality work. After we fell through rotting boards we hired them to replace the entire surface. They made sure to re enforce all the areas our first builder didn't do properly. They made sure we understood all the steps involved from pricing to the wood purchased along with how the finished job would be. They were friendly and worked really hard. We will hire them again when we get to our next project."

"Initial consultation and estimate was great. I had windows installed at a good price, no surprises. Service was okay, I would like to have had work completed a little faster. Quality was less than what I expected. One window protruded into the house and displaced the molding around it and it wasn't caulked. These issues were addressed in a timely fashion, but I am finding a few small things here and there that were missed. I have a couple of screens that won't stay up and some others with gaps, and it's only been 1 week. Hugh and the crew were very nice. My windows look great, but I am kinda wishing I would've chosen another route."

DIY is possible for experienced individuals. Professional installation ensures compliance with building codes and proper sealing.

The average cost to install an egress window is approximately $3,900, with a typical range between $2,500 and $5,300, though costs can be higher. The final price is influenced by several factors, including the window's size, type, material, and glass quality. Other variables include labor costs, location, excavation needs, and whether permits or a structural engineer consultation are required. The price of the window itself often depends on the number of panes:

  • Single-pane: $100–$400

  • Double-pane: $200–$500

  • Triple-pane: $300–$800

Additional features like window wells or covers will also increase the total project cost. It is advisable to obtain multiple quotes from professionals to get a comprehensive understanding of the expenses for your specific project.
