"These guys are very good. I highly recommend them. They did three tasks, stabilizing a cracked concrete floor in a shed, stabilizing my 30 year old concrete driveway, and stabilizing my 30 year old modular home foundation that was built out of specs. Well done!"

"Eric and the guys were awesome! They replaced windows and an existing French door with a sliding glass door. The windows and door are exceptional quality and at a surprisingly affordable price. I will definitely use them for such needs in the future. All the materials used for the installation are of a top notch quality and should guarantee trouble free service. Love it!"

"Needed fencing installed to keep groundhogs from taking up residence under our deck. Brady came up with a creative and complete solution that made sure the varmints were out and would not return. Would use again."

"Mr. Hooks came to our home to evaluate our work request of installing a sliding glass shower door to a step-in shower stall. He was kind and courteous. He took measurements and noted that our shower compartment was not square (or plumb) and indicated that he would have to custom order our door kit. Following his visit, he provided a comprehensive estimate. We approved the estimate. The price was reasonable, understanding the quality of the materials and time and labor it would take to install. The job was completed, and we are very happy with the quality of the job he and his crew accomplished."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

There is no blanket number when it comes to glass thickness for soundproofing. Thicker glass does help reduce noise, but it’s only part of the solution. Most single-pane windows use glass that’s ⅛” to ¼” thick. While increasing the thickness can cut down on sound, the real noise-blocking power comes from stacking layers. Double—and triple-pane windows are far more effective for soundproofing. The combination of mass and separation breaks up sound waves better than thick glass could on its own.

White vinegar, water, and baking soda create a natural cleaning solution that is highly effective against brown stains on the oven door. Mix one cup of baking soda, one-fourth cup of water, and one teaspoon of vinegar into a paste. Spread it evenly onto the oven glass and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Then, scrape the mixture off with a plastic spatula. Wipe the glass with white vinegar to remove any remaining baking soda.

Some stained glass window pieces could have significant value depending on their artistic and historical impact. Stained glass windows dating back to the 1800s or early 1900s may be worth $2,000 to over $150,000, particularly for prestigious brands like Tiffany. But most stained glass used in residential settings will not have exponential value, particularly if the stained glass is a more modern reproduction of classic styles.

You can use a commercial water repellent treatment for glass on your shower doors to prevent water spots. Take care to only apply the product to glass. Letting air circulate also helps prevent water spots, as water is less likely to remain on the glass for a long time with good air circulation. Run your vent fan, open a window, and leave the shower door open for about half an hour after using the shower.

Hard water stains can permanently damage your glass if left untreated. The minerals dissolved in the water can etch the glass, causing long-term damage and affecting the overall integrity of the surface. Luckily, it is pretty simple to remove hard water stains by using vinegar, baking soda, or commercial cleaners.
