"Order arrived quickly - all in good condition. Have been using them for quite a while now. I love that the pieces lock together magnetically - so no sliding around. You can choose your colors: top and bottom. You do the measuring - they have instructions on how to do that - and it is very simple. Their order department was very accommodating when I called. Would definitely order from them."

"Robert & his brother Thomas were incredible in their professionalism and attention to detail were stellar. Once the scope of the project and costs were agreed upon the crew was on the job the next morning by first light as promised. Roberts knowledge of concrete and landscaping were put to the test given this complicated job. The original issue entailed a long driveway steeply sloping towards the garage and house.  Consequently, torrents of rain water cascaded down the drive from the street pooling at the garage entrance and ultimately leaching into the garage and under the house. With laser in-hand Roberts' solution was to elevate the driveway entrance by 2" thus redirecting the water away from the drive to the adjacent ditch. Elevating the first concrete section also prevented the water flow. A drainage grate was installed at the basin of the driveway and pitched away from the structures. This evacuated the water into  4" PVC pipes that ran the length of the property some 160' into and field. A recent 3-4" rainfall tested the operation; I'm pleased to say it worked exactly as planned with some minor tweaking needed. During the excavation the backhoe discovered a sewer and water line close to the surface not installed by code when the house was built. Both were ruptured in the process, Robert immediately secured the materials and properly repaired the pipes no labor only material costs were incurred. In closing, I would and have highly recommended Royal Landscaping Services to my friends and family without any reservations. I've other projects planned that fall within Roberts expertise; I will not solicit other contractors for estimates! I might add my background is in hospital construction that perhaps place more credence in my opinion.

"He said to me, don't focus on the wiring just watch the TV instead. I waited three days later, went to Home Depot and purchase a white stick post and just layed it over the wirer because he nailed and tacked everything to the wall. Its working out, that's how it's going."

Lighting questions, answered by experts

The average cost to install outdoor or landscape lighting is around $4,000, with most projects ranging from $2,000 to $6,000. The total cost can vary widely depending on several factors, including the number of fixtures, design complexity, and the type and quality of the lights used, such as wall sconces, pathway lights, or lamp posts. Other factors that influence the price are the square footage of the area being lit, the amount of electrical work needed, any required excavation or trenching, and local permitting costs. For specific types, you might pay around $100 for pathway or string lighting and up to $700 for lamp post lighting.

You can take a few steps to prolong the life of your holiday lights. Make sure to replace burnt-out bulbs as quickly as possible to avoid overloading the rest of the circuit and knocking out more lights. Before packing them up each year, plug each strand into the wall to confirm everything is still working. Wrap the lights carefully back into their original packaging or something similar—winding a strand tightly together or leaving it to hang loose in a storage bin can lead to frayed or damaged wiring.

If you need to visually inspect your Christmas lights to determine which are good and which need replacement, there are a few things to look for. First, look for discoloration, such as a dark spot or two on the inside of the glass. The spot is an indication of a burnt filament. Also, look for missing filaments, cracked bulb glass, and broken sockets.

The lifespan of a pool light depends on the type, but thankfully, these lights are designed to last a long time before they need to be replaced. LED bulbs last the longest, about 20,000 to 30,000 hours, while incandescent bulbs last the shortest amount of time, about 1,000 to 5,000 hours. Fiber optic pool lights will last around 6,000 hours.

Installations include new light fixtures, upgraded panels, fixed outlets, and tracked wiring continuity.
