"I contacted Refloor from an add i saw on Facebook. Reason being is I had recently gotten a new puppy and after a couple weeks of him being left out in the house while at work I came home to realize I had 2 layers of linoleum over the subfloor. He did a number on both layers. The crew from Refloor was great to work with, accommodating and top tier workmanship. Couldn't be happier with the end product, house looks new somehow even. If you have particularly delicate or heavy items that need to be moved, discuss special handling with the installers beforehand.

While it may not always be ideal, you can fix a squeaky floorboard without removing the carpet. Pros use specialized carpet screws and drive them through the carpet into the subfloor, securing floorboards. Laminate flooring takes about 24 to 48  hours to settle. Before this, planks are not completely acclimated to your home, and walking on them could cause shifting and permanent damage to the flooring. You should allow floorboards to acclimate for 48 to 72 hours before installing so that they can adjust to your home’s humidity and temperature levels, but they will continue to acclimate and settle after installation. For this reason, avoid placing any furniture in the room for 72 hours after installation.

Your floors will continue to settle for a few months after installation, becoming less bouncy as they rest.

To prevent your dining room carpet from slipping, consider using rug pads or grippers underneath to provide traction and stability. Additionally, ensure the carpet is properly sized and secured to the floor to minimize movement. Regularly check and readjust the rug to maintain its position and safety under your dining room table.
